ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL's After-Credits Scenes Revealed And They Sound Like An Absolute Must-See - SPOILERS

The Pre-After-Credits Scene
Once-Upon-a-Deadpool-Fred-Savage-poster.jpg

Because this is Deadpool, there's a scene before the actual post-credits scenes start in which the Merc with the Mouth and Fred Savage talk about how much they love the stingers. The latter is a fan because it "feels so private" to be sitting in a theater that everyone else has walked out of.

The original after-credits scenes then play for any younger fans who missed them the first time.

Fred Savage's Escape

Pretty much all the new footage in Once Upon a Deadpool are the scenes with Fred Savage so it probably won't surprise you to learn that we return there for a mid-credits scene which sees Wade Wilson finally cut him free after holding the Princess Bride star captive for the past three days.

His legs are still duct taped together so he struggles to walk away, but the Merc helps him through the bedroom door and the camera then pulls back to reveal the movie crew.

Stan Lee Tribute
stan-lee-cameo-spider-man-homecoming.jpg

Stan "The Man" Lee may not have created Deadpool but he's played an important part in the franchise, making a cameo appearance not only in both movies but even the first Deadpool 2 teaser.

After the credits have played, we get to see some outtakes from that teaser as Stan tries out different lines like "Isn't your suit supposed to be green?" and "Wow, it's Ryan Gosling!" Then, a short tribute to the legendary comic book creator plays as he talks about the characters he created and how great it is to see them being so popular.

It ends with Lee saying, "We wrote some good stories" and the whole thing is a truly touching tribute.

Can’t see how anyone enjoys these movies.

Caught a little bit of Apocalypse on last week ..i would rather watch BvS on repeat then sit through that

No surprise.

The Morrison era X-Men uniforms were trash. Slightly similar to his run.

Granted the Morrison uniforms were suppose to be leather (which is what influenced the all leather look for X1-X3).

movie was good and entertaining

its one of those reviews are a reach and you got to see it for yourself

everything int he film was approved by the band and freddies sister who doesnt even do interviews

singer was kicked out of the project and another had to finish the film and edit it

im a queen and mercury fan, love the music and everything in it, the movie actually took a safe route and didn't do a gritty telling of mercurys life with drugs and aids and that was the biggest critic for it which i found unjust

it was an ode to queens music and i was perfectly happy to enjoy the film as such

watch and judge it for yourself

i am in no way defending singer, dude is a pedo (and gay and really makes no sense his film to shame his kind but i am not really trying to figure him out) but i thoroughly enjoyed the film and malek was great in it though they did overdid with his overbite

Yea Im good.. i heard that the love you have for the music carries the film and makes you ignore some things

And you expect liberties to be taken.. but these 2 seem like much:

"Then the screenplay rewrites history. Mercury reveals to his bandmates that he has AIDS while they’re rehearsing for their Live Aid performance. But Live Aid was in 1985. Mercury was diagnosed in 1987. Bohemian Rhapsody insinuates that it’s this tragic news and some sort of existential confrontation with his own mortality that motivates his triumphant Live Aid performance, a cruel and manipulative version of tragedy porn that is inaccurate and perpetuates the trope of AIDS as punishment for gay promiscuity."

"The last act of the film shows the band breaking up because Mercury makes the greedy decision to pursue a solo career. Here’s the thing, though. As Ryan writes, there is no record of the band ever breaking up. When Mercury’s solo career stalls, the movie shows him going back to the band with his tail between his legs, begging for them to reunite and play the Live Aid show. Again, not only is there no record of that happening, it also inexcusably omits the fact that Roger Taylor released two solo albums and Brian May released one before Mercury ever did."

and then there's:
"Mercury’s hard-partying ways, recklessly and shamefully intertwined with his sex life and gay culture, are made out to be the downfall of the band. The rest of the members, meanwhile, are portrayed as upstanding family men who have no patience for such debauchery. “What pisses me off about it is that those three (to be fair, [John] Deacon didn’t have anything to do with the movie) are still around to offer this version of events while Freddie isn’t here to say, ‘Wait a minute, what about the time you did such and such,’” Ryan writes."

I mean as a movie it was fine. Nothing special.

The historical inaccuracies were inexcusable but didn't ruin the story being told.

And as far as the gay punishment for a life of debauchery that part of the story is very cliche and predictable. Granted I'm not gay so I can't speak to how offensive it is in depiction and as described above I'm not seeing the huge issue in comparison to say how they portay Mercury breaking up the band and then begging them to reunite.

I heard troubling things before I read that.. but heard great things about the lead's performance.. was supposed to go see it but work threw a monkey wrench into that plan

But I have zero motivation after reading that.. you have more then enough to work with and the information isn't exactly that hard to find out

Also on the alive band members, it's known the problems Sachs baron cohen had with them and the story they wanted to tell.. I remember watching or reading somewhere that one of the iterations they wanted was Freddie was supposed to die in the first 3rd of the film and the rest is how they went on without him

its a reach, i didnt see mercury running with "his tail between his legs" to reunite, they portrayed him dying and losing his voice and wanted a last hurrah per say

people interpret it how they want to see it and that is fine and if you prefer others to review it and interpret it for you then that is fine too but you are missing out in my humble opinion

i dont view it as ignoring "some things", i choose to enjoy and be positive about it, its not a direct biopic, there are tons of those in different media you can digest elsewhere

plus i didn't really see his gay lifestyle and drug use that ruined the band, it was the manipulation of his assistant/lover who also led him to those gay parties and heavy drug use so that freddie won't get rid of him, this was very evident in the film and finding his last gay companion that led him to good pastures

i admit i didnt read that long diatribe of an article but i am going to assume this detail was ignored or quickly left by the wayside

this film is an interpretation that mercurys sister and ex-wife, who both loved and adored mercury like no one else in his life, both has chosen to approve

they were closest to freddie and knew his deepest and darkest secret and if it really portrayed mercury in a real bad way while his bandmates in a good light then they wouldn't have approved it and the movie likely never made or at least malek would have left the project because this was a passion project for him and disputed with singer a lot

now if this is something mercurys loved one completely went against and hated and disputed on then i'd likely be with even if i enjoyed the film after seeing it

if you're a fan of queen or freddie or the music, i believe you owe yourself to watch it and decide for yourself at least if those are accurate but unfortunately now that you have those in mind, you'd probably see the film with a biased eye whether you care to admit or not, hell i do that too if i've read spoilers of a film and people plants all these ideas in my head beforehand, its human nature we can all be guilty off i guess

See I can't interprete someone's life based upon a film i know is taking liberties with that life

We know they took some liberties, now how far did they go.. we know the film had problems for years.. we know that the creative differences between Sachsa baron cohen and the band was over how much would be shown

I mean if it was my life and I had the ability to control the narrative, there is no way in hell im signing off on certain things.. but Freddie ain't here and the band is

Their music is entertaining enough.. I can go watch a documentary on them.. great movies have been made with far less, see social network

but that is you, not him or his band members or his loved ones

again those facts are everywhere, you want a complete story of queen, it isn't going to fit in a 2 hour pg13 film, you don't have to interpret it and the article really goes overboard to try and prove a point, i really did not see them portray being gay as a punishment at all , he was gay and had sex with men and did drugs but there are a few scenes in there where his assistant/lover specifically ruined everything for him and really showing freddie wasn't always at fault

but you already made up your mind so there is no more point in seeing it or even asking you or even continuing this

i will leave you with this, the beast is a highly biased website with their opinions to get clicks and while they use facts, they twist it and make it sound bad, for example while deacon had no involvement with the film, its not that he is against it (like the article make it sounds) but he just doesn't want anything to do with the band but he did approve of the screenplay/script

via the guardian:

Queen's John Deacon will not be involved in an upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic. Although the group's bassist has apparently okayed the movie's screenplay, he "doesn't want to" participate in the project, or even a possible new Queen album.

"We kinda mourn for John as well as Freddie in a sense," Brian May recently told Rolling Stone. "I do know John's read the script and he's in approval ... [But] he just doesn't want to be walking those roads ... He's in his own space and we respect that. It's a shame, because we would love to have him around but he doesn't want to be in that arena anymore."

New Mutants must be Fant4stic levels of trash if they scrapped that but are still releasing Dark Phoenix pt. 2
