GOAT APP legit?

How come every time I buy a pair from GOAT it's always coming from New Jersey? Are there more sellers in the East Coast or something?
Most stuff in centrap and east time zones would to go NJ. Do the math.

Eastern Standard Time Zone: 150.2 million (47.1%)

Central Standard Time Zone: 92.3 million (29.0%)

Mountain Standard Time Zone: 21.3 million (6.7%)

Pacific Standard Time Zone: 53.0 million (16.6%)

Didn’t know this. Interesting.

I noticed that it seems like GOAT has like bots automatically bidding up the price of a certain item and then deletes the bid once it goes up to a certain price. I did this 4 times on a couple of items so it’s definitely a bot they have to inflate prices :smh::smh:

Sellers do that, not Goat.

No I’m pretty sure it’s GOAT the sequence and how it’s occurring is suspicious. Plus the spread is too large for the seller to delete their bids at the price they do it at and it’s always at a certain price. This is for a couple different sizes of a recently released hyped shoe as well.

Plus you can bid at any time in the day and it will automatically up the bid $5 within 10 min up until the specific price that the max has been set at. It’s too suspicious to think it’s the seller is doing this especially when the spread is over $1000

Pretty sure it’s same person selling the item that’s bidding it up against ya.

I had the same thing happen to me last week for the elephant am1 in a small size. I put in an amount then someone kept trying to outbid me and I stopped counter offering.

Sellers have bots to shill bid for them.

I believe it, theres a reason why the real stock market is regulated. These apps work with no oversight and are partners with the suppliers.

I would be more inclined to believe it was the seller if the spread was closer. These are 2 separate sizes and the spread is $500 and $1000. It doesn’t benefit the seller at all to shill bid up to some low price with that kind of a spread.

I don’t play that undercutting game on stockx

I’ll put my sell price at what the lowest ask is and wait for my damn turn :lol

I did that recently with a hat I sold

Lowest ask was $105 so I put my ask at that price as well

A few days later the other seller lowered their ask to $104, it probably took a day to sell at that price

After he sold I raised my price to $115 which was the lowest price and it sold a day later :lol

If I do undercut I’ll do it $5 less cause I don’t want to go back and forth lowering my price by $1 less :lol

Didn't realize there was a GOAT thread.

I bought the NYC to Paris JB/SB 1s (NEW, GOOD BOX).

Received them without a box lid, missing 1/4 pairs of laces, no tissue paper, one shoe tree. Obviously an outlet pickup. Not what I ordered. CS is fairly quick, they apologize, give me a return label.

They get the shoes back in 2 business days and: "Unfortunately, your return has been denied because it does not qualify under our return policy. Our specialists noted the following issue(s): box missing lid."

They won't respond now. It's been 7 days, five business days. I don't know what to do. I don't want the goddamn shoes (at MY expense to have them shipped back), and I certainly don't want them listed on their service so they can make money off their mistake while I eat 20% of the cost (if not more) because they're missing ****.

I just purchased off goat, and received a text message from PayPal saying suspicious activity. Is this normal?

After 3 weeks I finally got a refund...in GOAT credit...for the wrong amount.

I lost the $10 I paid for shipping on the original purchase, and for some reason they deducted the assumed cost of shipping the shoes BACK to me (which...I never asked for and they never did).

I'm chalking it up as a wash. Once I use that credit I'm probably just going to close the account. I particularly enjoyed being scolded for opening new tickets. It's not like they could have HELPED ME INSTEAD OF REMINDING ME THAT MY OTHER TICKET WAS BEING IGNORED.

I just messaged them with some questions. i feel like you’re talking to a bot when you message them. They don’t give you a straight answer.

I’ll take Goat over getting hacked with StockX or getting scammed with eBay.
Speaking of hacking, after I purchased from goat, i received a unauthorized security text from PayPal, and followed by a bunch of phishing calls and emails trying to get my PayPal account. Never had that from stockx.

did goat stop giving out goat cards with signatures? i bought something and got a hole punch card instead.
