Griffey 1 Vs. Griffey 2...

There's no debating sneaker enthusiast passion for the Nike Griffey Max 1 (Black/Freshwater) colorway. This is one sick shoe & a perfect debut for a future Baseball Hall Of Famer.
But since the Freshwaters recent re-release...it's only a matter of time before Nike does the right thing. That would be giving us a retro of the Nike Griffey Max 2 (Black/Emerald) colorway.

Both shoes define what made the 90's such a remarkable decade for Nike. And I think the majority would choose them as the best of Ken Griffey Jr's signature line.

But my question is........

What was the better shoe? Which one do you like best?

OR...

If you could only own one, would you choose the Griffey Max 1 Black/Freshwater) or the Griffey Max 2 (Black/Emerald)? And why?

I like the Freshwater 1s better but definitely would cop the 2s if Nike releases them like they should. After such a high demand and a couple restocks of the Is I can't see how they wouldn't retro the IIs.

da midsole on da II's are fragile and tend to yellow....however da swingman logo is DOPE......

da first griffey max have a full sockliner that i love on sneakers.....

i dunno, i love both, nike retroed da II's once before and they fumbled it by not releasing ANY OG colors.

Dope OG colorway. Nike should have retroed that instead of the all-blacks or that gray colorway that's dropping soon.

Luv the Freshwaters, But Griffey 2s are better.....but not by much.

I was thinking the same thing. The 3s would have been sooo much better minus that terrible grain of leather. Regardless the 3s are still head & shoulders BELOW the first two.
