Has anyone else been using StockX?

there are times that I have had the lowest ask, and a last sale gets reported at a much higher value than what I had. I’ve also seen it the opposite, with a lower sell than what I had as a bid. Some of those might be from other sources though. I don’t know if StockX still gathers data on sale items from other sources like they used to or not though.

This is what exactly happened to me as well. Goat doesn't have it listed and ebay's last sale doesn't match either.

The ask and the bid are from different countries. What you may see as the same amount the seller sees as a different amount in their country upon accepting. You can also see a lower ask and a higher bid as same example of this.

Refer to this post above. It's most likely what you're seeing

Either way, this definitely is something that StockX needs to fix as it's deceiving to both sellers/buyers although I doubt it's intentional

It’s not impossible. We already know that last sold prices are not all sold on stock X. Some sales is supposedly data from alternative marketplaces. Although if anything it’s more likely that if there was anything going on they would be doing the opposite listing lower sale prices to drive sales. Stock X quoted mission when created was to drive prices down and give fair marketplace value.

Has anyone sold/bought only one pair from a shoe pack on StockX? ( ex. Jordan 1/Air Ship New Beginnings Pack ) Just wondering if the shoe box is required/requested for that one pair...

will this pass stockx? it came from adidas 100% authentic. I believe its a factory defect, Left shoe has lines on boost, while right shoe does not.

it all depends who looks at them. I’ve resold/resent a couple shoes back after they failed verification, only for them to pass. StockX’s standards are all over the place.

Has anyone seen this on the StockX tag under a black light?

I'm not sure if this has been covered already, but can anyone explain why there's a bid for $217 but the highest bid is $165?

Bit the bullet on a pair of new Shadows on StockX and received a pair with a side crease, missing stitch on the sole, and what looks to be a little piece missing in the midsole. To top it off, the size stickers weren't on the insole.

I don’t know if I’m being too picky, but I feel like they should refund me on these. I’ve done tens of thousands of dollars in purchases and sales with StockX with no problem until today.

I think you're being way too picky. As said many times itt, they don't guarantee a perfect pair. If it's a factory flaw that you can get at FootLocker, you can and will get it from them. All of the things mentioned are common with Jordans. Nobody will notice any of it on foot so just enjoy the kicks imo.

I'm pretty OCD and I also don't like Stockx, but IMO I don't think that warrants a refund...Nike/Jordan quality is horrible and there's always stuff like that on pairs. I remember I bought 3 or 4 Royals and they all looked like that on the heel. The stitching stuff is also not that big of a deal, barely noticeable IMO.

The size stickers though?!? cmon B  Stockx should ban you from ever purchasing again.

Maybe most of the stuff was a little too nitpicky. Just wish I would have got a pair without that crease for the amount I paid.

I really should have paid extra and just gone with GOAT because they do allow returns

Paypal sent me a 1099-K for stockx sales in 2020 even though I'm way under reporting thresholds (15 transactions for a couple thousand). Wth?

Edit: Nevermind. The threshold for my state was changed to $600 regardless of transactions. Lol what a joke.

Same issue here, I’m guessing more states are going to follow suit, given how easy online reselling has become.

Anyone know if we can deduct the price paid for shoes if we bought them before 2020? Super confused about this tbh

this would depend on whether you’re using the cash method or accrual method of accounting. You’ll most likely be using the cash method and won’t be able to deduct the cost of supplies/inventory purchased before 2020. It’s best to consult with your accountant

Hi everyone,
I know it’s not the right thread, but I need your help with a legit check if you got some Metallic 5s from a legit retailer.
Thanks

i understand how you feel about the leather
