"He's perfect from the line tonight 12 of 12".....*CLUNK* "I just jinxed him."

I notice it but I don't believe in it....

The ones that the announcers get right are just the ones that stick out more...

If they say " so and so has made his last 25 free throws" and he actually goes out and makes it... nobody thinks anything of it

But if the announcers say it damn near everytime hes at the line hes bound to miss at least once and it will seem jinxed

Mike Breen ALWAYS does this on Knick games.

"You know Clyde, he hasn't missed all night....*brick*....."  and then Clyde says "You jinxed him Mike!"

It's only because you notice the times they do miss but never remember the the times where the announcer says it and they actually make it.

This doesn't 'always' happen. People just never bother to remember the situation unless it does.

Do you know how often they talk about Steve Nash's streaks at the line only for him to still drain the next one? No you don't because of the exact reason stated above.

Well when I said always, I definitely meant always.

As in 100% of the time.

I'm being dead serious about everything I've said in this thread; not at all joking about a coincidental situation that happens in sports.

too bad this never works the other way around.

"He's been struggling from the line lately, just 3 for his last 8 attempts."

"... and he misses another one."

Perfect example was Nick Folks missed 53 yarder against the pats. They posted up him being like 6 for his last 11 attempts... and he botches the next one
