At some point, instead of demonizing the non-mask wearers, we have to take a look in the mirror. We spent 3 months telling people not to wear masks and just wash your hands. Then we spent the next couple of months through today telling people to wear masks even though "masks do not protect the wearer". So the message has been sent loud and clear by the CDC, WHO, etc for the past 4 months, if you do not have coronavirus, there is no reason to wear a mask.

Nailed it. They have flipped flopped about so much that this became a political thing. Had they stuck to what was real from the beginning, people would have been more accepting.

As anyone who has tried to work during these times can attest to the fact that this was a unique situation that called for revisements as more information was learned.

Also, the info that the use of masks was for the protection of others, not self, was out pretty early on.

If folks cant be adaptable in a time like this, where literally everything about this is uncharted, then **** them. Just sounds like more excuses for people to be inconsiderate *******s.

from the onset, China has maintained masks are necessary. In fact, they were on tv telling Italy they need to do this while our outbreak was not a major concern yet. They said no masks here because they didn’t want people buying masks that they could use for hospitals.

Even if you don't have the virus, wearing a mask sends the message to your neighbors that it is safer to just wear it than not wear it in this moment.

It's like washing your hands when in the restroom even if you didn't touch your weenie to pee. Or using clips on a light barbell. Just do it so everyone builds better habits.

That’s why I follow what I read on this thread and common sense.
The CDC and WHO have been funny style giving us the run around on this thing since the beginning.

A lot of people don't like government telling them what to do, which is why messaging and communication is critical, especially in a pandemic. Once the credibility is lost, they can't get it back

This is absolutely ****ing ridiculous. Goes to show that even with a pandemic, America doesn't give a **** about its healthcare system. Like yes, this is the price that insurance pays, but not all insurance is the same. I pay $600/month for insurance, for example, but don't get a dime in chiropractic care, and my mental health coverage is legitimately a joke.

Also, saw it was being searched frequently but couldn't find any info - is the treatment safe for people with penicillin allergies?

They probably should have done that from the get go. It seems like the most important thing to stop spread is face coverings. its probably more beneficial than hand washing.
