I enjoyed Hoop Reality. Especially when Marshall went up against SImeon (Rose) and Crane (Sherron).

Just watched More Than A Game recently... it was great.. probably the few times, Lebron was in my favor.. But Hoop Dreams was so authentic, the fact that they didn't make it made the doc so relateable to every baller at the time..

Agreed. This movie probably more than any other honestly portrays life in inner-city America in the early 1990s... probably because it was a documentary

Hoop Dreams is one of the greatest, if not the greatest documentary ever made. With that being said I would hoop on those kids anyday, no matter what age. Come at me bros

Film was amazing. Just the thought of being in their position is heartbreaking. Being 15 and thinking your all but set to be a pro, and then so many things change. The film won a bunch of awards right?

He's still at it... I had a couple college buddies that went to St. Joe's. One quit the program after a year or two, one was a benchwarmer and one was 6th man for a good squad. They really had mostly good things to say about Ping.
I think Pingatore sued the Hoop Dreams people too. I'm sure they edited it to make him look bad. I don't think Joe's is as bad as other places like Oak Hill or Findlay Prep.

They played at major schools and were key parts to those teams. How is that not making it? And if you're talking NBA, look at the percentages.
