And how far is the commute and how do you get there? I always wake up 2 hours before I have to be there (well, I set my alarm 2 hows before work, but I usually wake up before my alarm goes off every time, usually right around 7.

I take my shower, make my cappuccino while ironing my shirt, and usually ******** around on my computer until the last minute. Usually only make breakfast or go to the gym when I don't have to open.

My drive to work usually takes less than 10 minutes, but I have had to drive almost an hour in the past. Still stick to the 2 hour rule, but in those cases I would usually have my work clothes ready the night before.

2 hours

So I walk into the office at 8, im getting up at 6. If I flex my day and come in at 10, im waking up at 8.

Takes me like 25 minutes for my get ready routine so the rest of that time is just to let myself really wake up and not be in a rush

2 hours, but I also live 3 block from my office. I'm not the type to just get up and go (although I can). I like to make breakfast, have coffee, and usually browse NT in the morning before actually getting ready.

I miss working from home. Roll out of bed just to log in.

Currently at my new gig we are demoing this project:
7:00am - 3pm shift
Wake at 5:30am
Surf the web until 6:00am
Prepare my breakfast, lunch, and snacks
Iron clothes and pack workout gear
Head out by 6:15 - 6:30 to drive into work which takes about 35-45 minutes depending on traffic.

Normal work:
9-5 shift
Wake up at 6:30am
Surf the web until 7:00am
Prepare my breakfast, lunch, and snacks
Iron clothes and pack workout gear
Head out at 7:30 to catch the bus to the metro, ride the metro in, and grab ice coffee on my walk into the office
Arrive at 8:45am - 9:00am
1:30 minute commute by public transportation

40 minute commute by car vs 1 hour and 30 minutes commute by public transportation.

I rather take the public transportation route that gives me time to reset going into work and heading back into my life.

I'm thinking about starting to run to work in the morning on some days during the summer and fall. This would be a 10 mile commute.

Get ready right now usually 1hr to get ready with a 7 minute commute:wink:.

Last year it took me 2hrs to get work.:smh:
Never again.

Around two and a half hours Mon-Thursday. Gotta get the baby ready, do the 45 minute commute, drop her off and then hopefully get to work 15 minutes early. I get to flex on Fridays so I come in two hours early and I’ll usually get up about an hour and a half before due to less traffic and not needing to get the baby ready/take her.

Man, I get up at 8. Shower, get dressed etc, on my bike by 8:40 and I'm here by 8:55. If I get up earlier the kids just get in the way and I get embroiled in them not being able to find anything.

2 hours just cuz my commute is 1hr 20min...41 miles basically... have 2 alarms one for 6:00am which i hit the snooze but im still up and the second is 6:10...get ready and leave at 6:30...i take a shower the night before so when i get up i just brush my teeth, fix my hair and pack my lunch...get to work by 7:45-7:50...

my commute is 1hr 20min

Nothing grinds my gears more than long commutes to work, I would go insane with a commute that long

Because of the job market in Atlanta, someone from my organization used to commute 2 hours everyday to work. The train doesn’t reach out there... :lol

Wake up an Hour and a half-2 hours before work, usually an hour commute :smh: ...Luckily its no set time I gotta start work so I can adjust the time accordingly, and Fridays I work from home so basically a 3 day weekend on the regular

I'm moving closer to work this summer tho, that commute aint the wave...especially when I'm tired in the evening

Buddy is coming from Alabama. At the time, the salary pay must of offset that drive. I couldn’t imagine doing that for 2 years. Smh.

Now people are able to work remote, he’s in a better place.

Some of the commutes down here are wild...where im from ppl be trippin just off 30 mins in traffic :lol, I cant ever get used to this ATL driving :{ ...thats why before I took the job down here I insisted on at least 1 work from home day to make up for it

3 hours. Work starts at 8.

5am-6am Gym
6am-7am Breakfast, prepare lunch, sometimes fall back asleep
700am-730am Shower, get dressed.
30 minute commute.

I get up about an hour before I go in.

7:00 a.m. - wake up

-shower
-take dog out
-breakfast

8:00 a.m. - out the door

8:15 a.m. - at work

Previous job I had an hour commute to work and an hour and a half commute back and I worked 10hrs a day. So basically 12hrs I was away from home.

People used to always freak out when I told them that, but in all honesty it really wasnt that bad. But I do appreciate the new schedule I have now.

Need to get in around 9ish. Usually wake up at 7, play on my phone for an hour, make my oatmeal and protein shake, be out the door no later than 8:40.

Same. I get up early so I can have time to chill a bit in the morning. I hate having to rush somewhere as soon as I get up. Work is the same everyday. Waking up early doing other stuff keeps me sane.

I usually wake up, stretch, pushups to wake up then have coffee on the patio while everything is quiet and still outside.

Unless I am traveling I am at my offices by 8. I work out in the morning so I am up by 5:30.

It varies really.

My Normal shift is 3x11 so if im not doing overtime that day I normally wake up around 7am or so. I work out, prep my lunch for that day, run a couple errands, and catch up on a little TV or Game a bit.
If it's a day Im doing overtime. I'll wake up at about 520 leave my hours by 555 the latest and ill arrive at work by 630 or so. Shift starts at 7am.
