This is the old school way to learn. I don't see nothin wrong with it.

babies naturally know how to swim for the first year or so of there lives. Saw a document on it a while back.

that is ridiculous, what happens if little dude drowns? when i was 5 my uncle did this to me and i sunk to the bottom freaking out, then he tried to pull meout by my feet

i almost died that day

What do you think happens with water births?

young infants instinctively know how to swim and I think thats how I was taught to swim

I live in MN,we're tossed into a lake at a young age. or you fall in, one of the two.

And I shouldnt say "swim" but they hold their breath and can obviously flail around

it's easy for them at a young age to learn how to move purposefully in thewater. Hello youngins, Nirvana CD cover??

Some of you need to get your learn on before making a judgment.

The baby has already been taught how to survive if he/she (can't tell) falls in the water. There are techniques you can teach your child so that it knowshow to position itself so that it is face up, mouth open, with a relaxed demeanor, so that it doesn't drown.

That baby has already been taught how to do that. I'm 99% sure she was recording her baby doing what it has been taught to do; basically, she was showingher kid off, no different than if your kid knew how to make basketball shots on those little mini-hoops for toddlers, and lil man's only 15 months old. You'd record that. I'd record that. What she's doing is no different. The baby has clearly already learned what to do in the water, and she'sright there if the baby were to go face down or something else awful were to happen.

Child services wouldn't do a damn thing about that. It's clearly a controlled environment, and the baby is clearly educated on what to do, as well asbeing praised for doing it right.

She would obviously jump in and get thebaby.

It seemed worse than what it was I guess, since parents nowadays have done the unimaginable when it came to their children. But it seemed like baby was cryingand uncomfortable towards the end of the video, I guess it was controlled though and this was before I knew that's how they were originally trained tolearn how to swim
