This would #%@%*%$ KILL me... Its not the monetary aspect but the fact that I would replay the game in my head constantly thinking about missed free throws and lay ups

I always tell my friends who are new to it to think of it as money you have already spent. For a day trip i usually take about 500, so walking into the casino I consider it gone already. If i go home with a buck fifty, hey today I made 150 bucks.
But I will be going to Vegas for the first time next month. Really excited about that. I've only been to New Orleans, lake Charles, Biloxi, Reno, and Tahoe and I know Vegas will be years ahead of these places

Wrong attitude to have going into a casino. You should be going in ready to win ready to double your money. Might as well not go if you already think your going to lose.

You're right and I guess I don't totally see it as a straight loss. I don't know if this is true for everyone else, but I do it for fun not really trying to "make" money at the casino. Of course I go with the intent and hopes of winning, but I guess its my way of limiting myself to using only so much money in a trip.
Matt that is the exact attitude you need when gambling. The ones with delusional hopes of walking out of the Casino with $500,000 and chips spilling everywhere are the ones Casinos milk for their last dollar. I am not saying go in there expecting to lose, just set aside an amount you are ok with losing and will not regret.Originally Posted by MattUT
