My dad has a full head of hair but CHOOSES to shave it because he doesn't want grey hairs, while people like you are suffering.
Cray.

As stated earlier in this thread, in our generation, men are loosing their hair at younger ages. Quite alarming once you think about it. I definitely think it ties into the foods we eat, how we are feeding these animals that we're eating real life steroids and what not that speed their chemical development up, and as a result speed up the development of us as a people. Are lives with hair are much shorter than say 20 years ago. But this isn't just with hair, look at our young men in our society, 13 year olds looking like full fledged adults. 12 year old women that look like full fledged adults.

It could also be the air in which we live in as a society, it being contaminated, etc. This could be a reach, but just throwing it out there. I feel as though the world we live in, in a few years will see men noticeably balding by the end of high school. I refuse to believe that loosing your hair before 30 is a natural occurrence. If these causes for hair loss is actually true, then we are in trouble obviously. Then again, hair isn't that big of deal. Only as a big of deal as you make it. I'm not balding and still have hair btw. I also don't use ANY shampoo or extra chemicals into my hair, (In 7th grade my teacher told me that your scalp produces enough oil and @+#@ for you to work with, go figure) and I only use a brush or a comb when necessary.

Just my two cents.

I never understood that. He could dye it.

^^ I know people went bald younger than 30 way before all of the hormones and chemicals...my granddad lost his at 26 for example. That was 60 years ago... That said, I'm sure what's in our food doesn't help.

For some people it actually is genetic for them to loose hair before 30

I'm hoping its just the shampoo and conditioner I've been using. (did some research to find out H&S can cause hair loss)

but man, this is really stressing me out, going to make an appt this week and see what the real cause of it....im hoping i can treat it and its not genetic considering my moms side of the men have hardly any hair but my dads side all in their 60+ have a full set of hair still

anyone else experience hair loss at a young age? what are you guys to prevent it? any GOOD shampoos out there you guys are using?

sorry brah, but baldness is genetically related to only your mom. So, if on your mom's family has bald men, then you better go hat shopping.
Good news then, mom's side all have full heads of hair.

Nah brah it's a form of Vitamin E, extracted from palm fruit. Stuff is 100% safe. Take is with sesame seeds because it helps with absorption. LINK
@!%# works, and head over to bodybuilding.com's forums, there is a large thread about hair loss. I'll try and link it up later

I wouldn't say tocepherol is 100% safe...recent studies show that a high dosage of vitamin E and D are linked to certain cancers...I mean what isn't linked to certain cancers but taking more than is usually recommended is probably not a good look in the long run.

I agree with the poster who said to embrace it if it naturally happens.  Don't stress too much...bald dudes get chicks...it's one of their fetishes.

EXACTLY. He doesn't want to go through the trouble or dying it. Plus he says it saves him money on haircuts. Dude is almost 60 though so, idk why he's tripping on grey hairs.

I've read high does for a long period of time (talking years) of tocopherols have been linked to increase the risk of certain cancers expecially prostate. Toco-8 is a supplement for tocotrienols, which is what makes your hair grow like crazy. Toco-8 contains tocopherols but in a much lower dosage that what was linked to the increased cancer risk.

I've used Toco-8 multiple times, every time my hair grows like a freaking weed, even on my temples. Tocotrienols are scientcally proven to grow hair like crazy. Not only that it has been shown to regrown hair in males suffering from male pattern baldness. But with all being said, if your hair loss is genetic your fighting a losing fighting. Toco-8/tocotrienols might help in the short term but your genetics are going to win out eventually

And to the dude trying to grow dreads get:
- Toco-8 or another "tocomin" product (but you will have to double the dose on other products to match what you get in one serving of Toco-
glasses.gif
. Sesame seeds taken at the same time will help you absorb the tocotrienols in Toco-8
-Proline powder, its an amino acid that stimulates collagen which cases your hair to grow (you could buy straight collagen but it gets real expensive and the powder taste like straight %$%)
-Macdamia Nut oil, a tablespoon a day. For Omega 7s which are great for hair, nails and skin. Of all the products I recommend this is the only one I currently use but I use it as a olive oil replacement on vegetables. The oil tastes good, you can easily swallow a tablespoon straight up. It's not really a supplement, just regular food to me.
-And make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet, one gram per lean body mass. Not body weight, lean body mass

All this is a Broscience recommendation based on my own experiences, my friends experiences, reading scitentifc studies and what I've read on other forums. I ain't no doctor and I hate telling people "take this it will solve your problem". But my recommendations are what I deem will be effective and safe. If you can, do your own research and go to a specialist .

Havent read this topic through but ive been noticing single strands of hair on my fingers everytime I apply shampoo for the past week or so.
embarassed.gif

Ive had dandruff nearly my whole teenage life and up to now (22) so im wondering if thats making my scalp "weak"?
laugh.gif
Is that a reasonable reason? I noticed the minor hair strand loss after using T-Gel to help manage my dandruff, so I thought it was that and switched back to H&S and even now I still see a few strands come off everytime I shower. OP said H&S may causes hair loss?
sick.gif
Anyone know if this is the beginning stages of hair loss or should I switch to some other shampoo?

Like I said earlier in the thread, I've been using H&S for years and doubt it will cause hair loss.  A shampoo that makes you lose your hair will not be on the market long if it was true.  If you google it you'll probably see a number of people claim that but it's a small number compared to the large number of people who use it.  You can google other shampoo brands and probably see similar claims.  Hair falling out when you shower is totally normal.  Sometimes you'll notice more falls out some days but nothing to worry about.

Where do I get this Toco 8? I already ordered the free sample on that Cabolki sprinkle on hair.

I am thinning down the middle and from the vertex. None of my parents or grandparents on either side have the same problem. I don't know what the problem is.
