Is it crazy to let my 2 years old wear Jordan?

I think you should worry less about what brands your child wears and more about how awful your grammar is affecting him..

While he works on his grammar, you should work on your syntax

Eh, let them wear what they want. If your child wants to wear a pair of Spongebob XIs go 'head and buy them even if they're not authentic, don't be a pageant type parent and have the "If this lil' rascal won't wear these IIIs, this kid'll end up like JonBenét Ramsey" mentality. Ask your child what they want, if your kid thinks it's crazy for a 2 year old to wear a pair of Jordans, then it's crazy - if your seed thinks otherwise, then so be it.

My mom had me buy Jordans for my little brother when I was a teenager. He saw my closet full of sneakers and said "I want like those" - pointing to my White/Flint Grey XIIs. Needless to say, he got his grade school pair; and he cherished them until they couldn't be worn anymore.

better cop all the retros bruh. You want your kid to hate you when he sees his childhood pics?

Spongbob xi's? That's child abuse.
If a kid wants his favorite cartoon character on his or her sneakers and that's what the kid wants, then that's what the kid wants. Are telling me you would rather force your child to wear these grade school retros he or she doesn't want and/or care to wear? And before any of y'all say something about quality and being considerate for their children's feet, Jordans have had deteriorating quality for the past couple of years.

Gotta let him make a pimp decision.

No one on NT should even be thinking about buying fake shoes. If you would've said spiderman reeboks I was with you

I don't see the point.

Well I guess I do, people want other people to think they are "good" parents. Keeping your kids fresh goes into the overall Parental Rating. Well that is what people think.

People his age can't even talk, let alone clown him for not being in name brand clothing, so you aren't doing it for him.

Parents that do this are doing it for themselves.

It's not worth it. At that age kids grow so fast. Before you know it you'll be spending another $50, maybe no more than a month later. I keep my twin boys in Chucks: they are durable, cheap, and readily available. I also buy them shoes with their favorite characters on them. My daughter loves Skechers. In my area they can be found for no more than $20-$30 in her size.

I wouldn't force either of my children to wear Jordan.

She's 9 and He's 3, they both are into Jordan/Nike by default. I think sometimes they want to wear it becasue they see dad in it.

They both do choose to wear other stuff as well though.

i've bought J's for my kids. i don't obsess over them wearing them though. it's hard to spend $70 on Concords and see them beat up after 1 day of school. you can't tell a 6 year old he can't run around in his new heat because he'll mess them up. honestly to each his own on this matter, but i'm done buying these overpriced kicks.

It doesn't really matter, as far as the child goes, because at that age kids don't care what they are wearing.

What you adorn them in really says way more about you than it ever could about the child.

If you got it like that, it's whatever.  But like I said, the child doesn't care anyway, so if that's money that you could better use doing something else, then why spend the dough making them look like they are an eastbay child model.

My sons 3 i dont go crazy on clothes because he grows soo fast but he has some polo joints for when he's out nd what not he stays in fresh kicks tho I couldn't have him stepping out with some ******** on his feet and im wearing aqua 8s

I detest seeing children dressed up like a baby teenage version of the parent.

Let the child develop their own style. Don't make a ctrl+c ctrl +v your style onto the kid. Give him a chance lol

I agree to some extent. Some people do it mainly for their own appearance and not the child. :{

I usually just buy my son whatever I buy myself. Mini me has Jordan's, Nike, pumas, pradas etc.

Yea he grew out of everything fast and some was a waste of money but as long as he looks nice it doesnt matter to me

As being a parent the one thing I hate is when I see the parent looking fresh (new everything) and then the kids looking all crazy :{ :{

And to be honest my son doesn't care what shoe it is. We go to footlocker and he just usually sticks to whatever shoes are blue or green. 90 percent of the times we are leaving with air maxes or lebrons

my kid gonna rock some payless LA gears or some generic walmart joints until he hits the age of reason. After that its on him.
IMO ur teaching the kid that certain clothes make the person more than personality, behavior, how you treat others etc. 2 years old? nah.
And /thread

This is starting to look like the engagement ring thread. A lot of people with no experience in the matter giving advice. It may sound good on paper right now, but when your kids actually get here all that "I'm dressing my kid in a burlap sack and flip flops" is flying out the window. You're going to want the best for your kid, but the best doesn't mean the most expensive. It's all about catching sales and mixing & matching. My son in my avy has on a shirt from the Polo outlet and shorts from the Gap outlet I think.

As far as letting them choose their own style goes, that's not gonna happen. If I let my 2 youngest kids get their own clothes they'd be wearing wife beaters and pajama pants or old Halloween costumes everyday. What I do is guide them in choosing stufff. I have no problem with cartoon shirts, I'm wearing an Adventure Time shirt in my avy, but I'm not leaving the house looking better than my kids

dont matter why your kid cant look nice or look like you..besides he's two...if the same sneakers come in my size and my 3 year old size best believe i'm buying for both of us
