I just think Jordan can't be replace by anyone anymore.  I want my 2 years old boy to wear Jordan from top to bottom.  My wife thinks I'm crazy.  She said by the time our boy grow up he will not know who Jordan is....

I agree w your wife. If she wants a kid not laced head to toe in Jordan tell her call Airthompson. That can be arranged.

Why not? Because of how it makes you look?

Im not putting my kids in ugly clothes son sorry. You can do that. I wont. Im not dropping 100$ on kickss and coppin the kid yeezys and gucci and ****. Nah. but my kids will be dressed nice and neat. Not like no bums.

Name brand clothing. If i dont put myself in payless, walmart clothes etc. than my kids wont either.

kids should wear kids brands with affordable clothing. not look like mini adults its pointless.

2 years old ?? you better stock up cuz they will outgrow those shoes every 2 months or so.....but hai gais should i get my dog 2 pairs of jordan bred xi's OGs..hes only 9 months and my girl thinks im crazy but theres noone like jordan and i dont want my dog looking like a bum while he poops outside and licks his bawlz

but hes basically my kid.

That sponge bob thing was a joke. As far as the rest of your rant goes, it's obvious you just picked out the parts that you thought you could debate
You just ignored the fact that I agreed with you. Sounds like you need a male role model in your life, because you acting real sensitive right now. Lady like if you will
Your trying to say that picking a five and six year olds clothes makes me a bad parent and you feel bad for my kids? Don't worry about them, they're gonna be all right. They've got a dad who knows that kids need structure. They have options, they don't run my house though. But I'm not even mad
That's what I would expect someone to say who thinks having a little brother compares to raising 3 kids. So little buddy, you can have a coke and a smile and sh---- never mind. I don't want to get banned

Not crazy but not what I would do. The shoes r so small on a 2 yr old that they'll look cute on the little one regardless of the brand. So why not save money?

I'm not saying dressing kids "fly" and buying all brand names is giving them the best. I'm saying that Payless shoes for your kids is messed up when
you're rocking Jordan's
. I wear nice stuff and so do they. They have clothes that came from Walmart and so do I. I'm wearing a hoody from there right now
When you have kids you can dress them up or down as you please, but if the kid is wearing Spauldings you better be wearing Fubus
What I'm saying is don't dress your kids worse than you
Why and how is that messed up? It isn't like they responsible enough to take care of their shoes. Not to mention how often they outgrow stuff at that age. I don't see how it is messed up at all. So them wearing what you wear is how it SHOULD be? I don't understand the logic in that.

As I said, dressing kids fly = Parent cares how other people view their parenting skills. Nothing further.

Whatever man. It's not my job to explain it to you and no one owes you an explanation.

so OP wants his 2 year old to look like Dalisto? ok...

my kid gonna rock some payless LA gears or some generic walmart joints until he hits the age of reason. After that its on him.
IMO ur teaching the kid that certain clothes make the person more than personality, behavior, how you treat others etc. 2 years old? nah.

weak. if i got the dough and i want to throw my 2 year old in some LV kicks he'll be wearing those.

your child is a reflection of you, and you like nice things, why wouldn't you want your kid to be at his best. if you worried about wasting money because a child grows quick then maybe you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

if you got jay-z money or you got money period. i think anyone would buy nice things for there kids becuase they reach a point in there life where money dont mean anything. Or maybe the parents were brain washed thinking cheap clothing is good for little kids because they have no sense and they pass it on to there kids and they pass it on as well. or theyre financially strapped

Some of you guys sound dumb.

When you have young kids, a lot of people aren't concerned with brands....they are more so concerned w. 1) comfort and 2) if they look cute. If I'm rocking Jordans, do you honestly think the next person is concerned with what is on my kid's feet? You can EASILY put together an outfit for a child for under $30 and have them look every bit as good as you (or better) if you step out rocking some $300 kicks.

Personally, I can't even tell you 90% of the brands of shoes that my daughter has. If the shoe looks good, in the store, we'll buy it. NO hesitation. There are shoes we've bought from Target/Cartesr/Buy Buy Baby as well as Neiman Marcus/Saks. Store/brand doesn't matter.

wat my son wore today:
3.00 polo tee...3.00 walmart sweats...15.00 js
I dont pay retail for his stuff.
and as far as shoes, I can get him some nikes, chucks, adidas, etc for the same price as payless kicks.
how some of u guys come across seems a) judgemental and b) childless.

First, I consider wearing JB at 2 yrs old more as ostentatious, nice - not so much. So by not having them, he will be a reflection of me. There are far better clothes and more comfortable shoes out there for kids made out of better materials, not synthetic leather and plastic. Like, DC said, its more about the parent's ego than the kid.

Also, im personally against commercializing my kid, let alone at 2 years old. Society will bombard him with corporate logos throughout the course of his life anyway and, above all, i believe its my job as a parent to warn my kid about how these companies are trying to set the trap for him early in the game, rather than help Nike lock in that lifelong loyal customer.

This is really subjective though so if you don't agree with me then buy ur 2 year old the J's, i won't eem be mad. yea yea i know i have a strong or weak or w/e sn to post ratio.

I stepped away from the keyboard hours ago. Finished the rest of "The League" on Netflix with my girl, had her gaspin' for air like she was in Aspen and I lost count, but really though, I was never countin'. Now you're saying the Spongebob comment was a joke - I  could probably get away with saying what I said 'cause anyone whose seen 'em knows how comical those shoes are but it was obvious you seemed serious about what you said. How was I ranting? Where did I write something that exemplified violence or anger? I'd agree that my "long" replies aren't acceded by most NTers due to the fact that some are 2 paragraphs or longer, but I like to express myself. Blame N.W.A that I like to state my opinion and facts. You can have your opinion, all I know is that I wasn't angry when I wrote that reply. And I still ain't angry. I didn't pick out any "parts" that I thought I could debate by highlighting "parts" of what you wrote; I read your post, and knew that everything you said was wrong, in my opinion. When exactly did you agree with me brah?

I don't need a role model, male or female - I'm my own person; anyone and everyone can follow my model and know their roles. Sensitive? I wasn't the one who claimed someone was acting lady like. Or did I?
But I'm not even mad
Nah...

My mom had numerous foster kids from newborns to 10 months olds to 3 year olds before she had my lil' bro and lil' sis. I was the one heating up their formula, giving them baths, reading to them, you name it. I was there unless I was in school or doing homework. Raising children is a lot more than a structured, supervised, statutes to serve to a standard childhood with a somewhat so-so salary.

Why and how is that messed up? It isn't like they responsible enough to take care of their shoes. Not to mention how often they outgrow stuff at that age. I don't see how it is messed up at all. So them wearing what you wear is how it SHOULD be? I don't understand the logic in that.

I don't agree with DC much, but he's got a point. You just did a horrible job trying to explain yourself in previous posts and now you don't have a feasible explanation.

And as far as how you "structure" your children...

But maybe you should let 'em live a lil'... lil' buddy.

Aside from your poor taste, what does it really matter? This feels like a yahoo question.

I buy my son jordans not every single retro but i do i also buy him all black vans evey couple months because they are a good all around shoe and look nice. My daughter i used yo buy her jordans all the time but now i kinda stick more towards girly shoes and sandals for her with an occasional girls jordan colorway thrown in

I think enough time has passed where Jordan Brand is no longer associated with Michael Jordan the player and basketball / sports icon, but with Michael Jordan, fashion label . . .
really doe

but OP thats a stupid question, its your kid mane and youre clothing him, that right there is good enough, dont nobody care what your baby is wearing

DC not everyone thinks that way. Some people wanna see there own kids wearing brand name clothing. Baby clothes are not expensive. If you dont got money for the baby than go shop @ payless, walmart, target, k-mart for clothes. Thats who those clothes are made for anyway.
