I personally wouldn't wanna pay $50 for a pair of shoes for my kid to grow out of in just a couple of months.

I've got twins and I have copped them three or four pair in the less than three years they have graced the earth.

I do it because I want to share my passion withmy babies. I also don't believe they should have any less than I do, I'm the reason they are here.

They're girls so my lady buys them girly stuff too, but I make sure to keep them in a fresh pair. They will be getting black 4s next since my woman wants a pair too.

In the end, its your money and your decision how you spend it. Worry not about the opinion of anyone that has nothing to do with the welfare of your children.

DC not everyone thinks that way. Some people wanna see there own kids wearing brand name clothing. Baby clothes are not expensive. If you dont got money for the baby than go shop @ payless, walmart, target, k-mart for clothes. Thats who those clothes are made for anyway.

Ahh...so the poor shop at Target/payless/wal-mart/etc for baby clothes. Got it.

iuno why ppl just dont keep it real and be honest... most ppl pretty much all who are saying oh they will buy/has bought their kids jordans are only doing it to give the illusion they are good parents and really care about their kids. they are just using their kids as real life dress up dolls just to impress strangers. Esp younger kids... i mean really nike makes crap horrible jordans as far as support, comfort etc... for adults. so u can imagine the quality they put in kid shoes. at such a young age kids are just learning to walk etc... develop bones and muscle structure and need all the support they can get.... and lets be honest your not getting that from jordans... hell u barely getting it from nike at all

The ignorance of some Nters never cease to amaze me :lol

I have a nephew, he's 3 now, was buying him jays b4 he was 1, he got about 10 right now, i tend to just pick out a pair for him when i cop one

Do what you think is best for your child on small or larger scales, regardless of what anyone thinks. You should know and decide best as the parent.

Whatever man. It's not my job to explain it to you and no one owes you an explanation.
Oooooo the, "I don't have to answer to you" response. You had no issue typing them you claimed name brands = giving them the best but If you don't have an actual reason as to how Name Brands = Giving them the Best, then just say it. Don't flip it on me as if I am interrogating you or something.

:lol ok

I bought my son some Concords, a few months later my Mom bought him some light up spiderman shoes.. As a 4 year old you think your going to pick a jumpman over Spiderman? Naw bro.. ..The way JB is going I might even wear some Spiderman shoes over these wack *** retros they are dropping.

There's a multiquote button OP.

That being said if you can afford it, go for it, but be mindful that you should also get some shoes that are good for you child health wise, because those Jordans are not.

This. Everytime I see a baby in Jordans they seem to walk funny, and it has little to do with the fact that theyre babies. Basketball sneakers are just not meant for babies.

Surprising, but my 2/12year old knows what he wants! I go a little overboard I can admit but he's got everything from carters boat shoes to concords. And he picks out his ish every morning. Hit the outlets for the babies!

yall are ridiculous and clearly on team #Poor.

I don't have bread to spend like that but I'll be damned if I'm out in a ******g 1000 dollar suit and my kid is wearing some cheap payless shoes.

why name brands? because you've established brand loyalty over the years and you want to pass that high quality good look onto your kids until they are old enough to start making their own choices.

you don't HAVE to go out and get the most expensive clothing. If you see something for cheap that looks cool, than by all means. But it seems a lot of you are avoiding spending the extra dollar because you're selfish. You'd rather be out with a 500 dollar phone, 200 dollar shoes, 80 dollar jeans, 70 dollar shirt but you only want to spend 30 bucks on your kids look?

based on your logic, every time you step outside in anything more than a walmart t-shirt and jeans "you are playing dress up for strangers"

i want to see my kid look his best. i want others to see my kid look his best. because we are the best. dj khaled.

Aside from athletic accomplishments I can't think of a less appropriate role model for a child than Michael Jordan

its not about the money being spent its what u get for ur dollar.... and again u jus proved my point...." you want to give that high quality look" I could see if the product was actually of high quality... but its not... its just as cheaply made from the same slave shops as the walmart stuff. So again ur paying for the illusion of having something good just to impress strangers.

And as far as an expensive phone goes.... its not like ppl are out spending hundreds of dollars on androids/iphone and the quality/features etc... are on the same scale as the food stamp phones... and ppl are buying them just to say oh i gotta htc/iphone etc...

You sound like one of those cats that be out at the bball court with the newest/flashiest kicks on with no game... Like nah im not gonna get the best quality shoe or the shoe for bball im just gonna get whatever shoe gives the illusion i can play ball and look the flyest on the court.

I could see if you said quality and good looks but you killed your own argument considering you said jordans... I mean they dont look good for one (they are just retro of retro of retro of retros etc...not like its a new idea) and it isnt like they are the highest of quality either... So obviously you just buying them to give the illusion you got money etc to impress ppl.  Like my man 3000 said " you dont see gates, flashing diamonds in ya face.."

And lol at loyalty to a brand... you act as if nike is loyal to you. I mean they cant even give you the same ok/decent quality of the shoes they keep giving you over and over again in a RETRO form. And then on top of that charge you up to twice the price for half the quality. It be like if a car company keep coming up with the exact same make of a car year after year, except they took away technology/features every year then doubled the price year after year.

Wow what a lesson you are teaching your kids.

It is cool man. Folks just don't want to be called out for using their kids as a competitive tool. Because I feel that is what is being done here. Like someone said, real life barbie dolls.
