Is it ok for a straight man to accept drinks from a homosexual man???

"Sorry, I'm not into guys.... so it's cool but no thanks. I appreciate it tho. Be easy man."

I'm more into maintaining integrity than most, I see... I wouldn't capitalize off of his generosity. That's foul. It's not like he's someugly and or fat straight chick offering a drink. That's different.

Do we really need to examine just how blurry that line is though? We all know there are a multitude of double standards between men and women whenit comes to sexuality. I'm sure all the cheap +%% dudes on this board would just love to agree with you, but I can't. Women flirt with homosexualityall the time and it's acceptable and even nurtured.

90% of NT has never been offered a drink from ANYONE, let alone from someone who is the same sex. Mostly due to age, a lot of NT is extremely young and have noidea what its like to be in a true bar/club/lounge setting.

You're not gonna go gay from gettin' a free drink from a gay dude though. Sex has nothing to do with it, being broke as hell does. I'd drink it and then inform him that I'd rather slam my junk in a car door than have sex with another dude.

While that's a fairly accurate assessment.........I fail to see how it has anything to do with the topic at hand.

I'm not afraid of "catching gaydome" if that's what you're saying

. I'm way too comfortable in my own skin andinside my girl's skin for that.. What I'm saying is that it's not like there's a property of equality scenario where what goes for women isAUTOMATICALLY equal and acceptable for men. There isn't. That's a blurred line. But besides that, I'd just rather choose not to scam some guyaiming in the wrong direction. Now if you told him you were straight ahead of time and he still insisted, then hell, chug away at his expense. But if he wasjust trying to break the ice with a *Insert drink here*. Hi, my name is Julio, then I thinkit's ethically wrong to take that offer up.

EDIT: I can see how my earlier post didn't emphasize what I was really trying to say.

I get what you're sayin' man.

I am comfortable enough with my manhood to accept a drink from a homosexual but here is the long story short...

I'm at the bar already twisted waiting for the bartender. Dude is buying his own drink and he hands me a flyer that he is passing out for some "downlow" club and then winks at me
laugh.gif
indifferent.gif
. He wasn't the sterotypical gay man but after the wink and a look atthe flyer I put two and two together
grin.gif
. So I laughed it off and I said nahI'm good I don't go that route. So he then tells the bartender "this cat thinks I'm playing, give him 5 of whatever he wants." So thenthe bartender looks at me and I say $%#^ it give me two red-bulls with vodka, and I put my money back in my pocket. So while the chick is getting the drinksduke is like we don't be pumpfaking over here we be getting it popping and I'm just like thats cool but thats not my kind of party. So the bartendercomes back with the drinks and I say good looking and dude was like you think about that daddy and I just say "AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT" and dipped offdouble fisted to this brownskin chick I was vibing with.

This was at Fuzion in Philly on Friday night btw

I guess I'm in the minority but I had to log in to say hell no! To me that just feels wrong it's not worth the awkward feeling just for a free drink Iwould rather avoid the situation all together. Y'all are setting a bad example for the kids on this board. I DECLARE MAN LAW!

The only people that buy me drinks are women in their late 40s that haven't aged well, and then people wonder why my ugly *** doesn't goout.

Thats a different argument than "you shouldn't accept a drink from a gay guy". I can respect that.
