Any fan base that can sell out not one, but TWO, soccer games must be something special.

I still feel for them about the Sonics

Seattle Soccer Team

No way is Seattle the best sports town. When their teams suck their fans go into hiding. Look at the Mariners now and the Seahawks a few years ago. Portlandand Vancouver will be selling out MLS games also in 2011 when their teams start up. For some reason soccer is huge here in the NW, I just don't get it. Thecity here went bonkers when we got an MLS franchise. F that, I want me some NFL or MLB...

I agree with JF, I remember when the Seahawks were completely irrelevant in the AFC West and they had no fan base, now they have 12th man and all this%@%@*@%*? I did go to a Mariners game last season though and they still turned out a pretty good crowd though.

I can't be mad though because that's is really the cycle with teams, they become relevant and all of a sudden they have the 'greatest fans in theworld'. Hell I lived through that in Sacramento. Seattle is hands down one of my favorite cities period though, but probably not one of the best sportscities IMO.

No way...

I've seen some of those lime green jerseys in the stands, I was wondering if they were going to break those out.

Those will go down in history, and not in a good way

You want to rethink that statement? How can Qwest Field be > over Qwest Field? Does that really work? I own 2 charter seats a Qwest. Seattle isa favorite city of mine, and of the handful of NFL stadiums I have been to, none come clse to Qwest Field.

As as a Seahawks fan I think the jerseys will go down as the worst jerseys in NFL history. I don't see any way that they will look good.

100% true. all the teams have, or had in the sonics case, their die hard fans but the city as a whole is a bandwagon one

no, and I live here... I know that Seattle is pretty good soccer city and I'm really excited that we FINALLY got our MLS team but I think we are sellingout right now because the season only been couple weeks old and there are some hype there plus winning first two games helped as well. I think LA draws bettercrowd and DC always draws good crowd when it comes to MLS. If you follow whole Sonics moving to OKC saga, you'll know that we ain't the best sportscity by far. We have city councils who doesn't see sports having a cultural and economic value whatsoever.

No. Everyone disappears when our teams are losing. And then when the teams start winning everyone acts like they're die-hard fans.

And when I say everyone, I don't literally mean everyone. Just the majority of the people.

No bias, i think Chicago has to be the best sports town.

No. You guys don't even attend your teams games when they're good then get all butthurt when they're moved. Go drink your 12$ coffees
