Janitors making 100k+

It's ironic that I'm mopping floors for my uncles cleaning service, because my major is currently HS EDUCATION

i'm sayin man.... what incentive is there to do good for society and work hard towards humane job...  it's not about the money cause i dont want 180 gs a year... it's just not FAIR. we wonder why people are so corrupt. maybe because being a good person doesn't really pay capitally, only spiritually. but alas, it is a capitalist society. screw it i *minus well* drop out and be a janitor.

I guess yall missed the part where these guys spend decades to get that pay and the crazy OT they get for nights and weekends.

Some of yall have too much pride to even consider cleaning your car. These guys do hard work although not as hard as some construction workers.

If teachers taught at some after school program everyday after normal school hours and the weekends doing some side tutoring job, then they probably would make 100+ g's a year.

These janitors aren't doing anything wrong, they're working tons of extra hours and getting compensated as such.

how many times do i have to say it's not about the money. i said it twice. i'll say it three times. i'm good at 50/60 gs, idc. it's not about that. i am the least material person you will ever meet. i am going into it for the kids, not for money. i just don't understand people who are tryna tell me that there is nothing wrong with this picture. i KNEW going into it that it was like that but... that doesn't make it right man

i'm not mad at the janitors i'm mad at the system

So your saying their job is inhumane? Dudes probably had to bust their +*# for over a decade probably even two, to achieve that kinda income and you complaining about life not being fair? What on earth makes you think you're a better person than anyone just cause of what you choose as your occupation? If you were a teacher that didn't mind busting your +*# for over 20 hours a day then I don't think making money would be a problem for you. Anyone willing to put in that amount of work, hard or not will find a way to make ends meet, but very few are willing. Yet you wanna come in here and #!%+ on those who are, and try to undermine them not only as workers but their whole being? $*+!$%+ ridiculous.

ok i worded that wrong it was just an extension of my previous post. i'm not applying that to this particular situation. im talking more generally about other jobs that are inhumane that people do just for money. im just i'm saying most jobs in society today are like that. sorry i went off on a tangent without fully explaining why i'm really angry. i'm against the way things work idk

like i said... nothing against the janitors. i come from a lower mid class income family...i respect hard work and people that work hard for what they get making a decent living... just the system....

Well your bringing up being a good person as if these people aren't. The system is messed up towards teachers, but that doesn't mean that a person working as hard as these dudes probably are shouldn't be getting paid their worth.

son are you serious? @%+! outta here wit that hard working people madness. granted they are necessary in the sense that someone has to do it, and THEY ARE the people that help make everyday life possible. word to mike rowe. but they arent even worth 40K.

Jobs that shouldn't make 100k:

janitor
any type of transit vehicle operator
security guards

why should a bus driver make more than an engineer, or a doctor? i hate that $!%$. these people need to not be paid so much. hardworking? maybe. sometimes yea, sometimes no, but you BEST BELIEVE they DID NOT work hard to get that job. lotta these people are those without a college degree.

why should i struggle to get my degree in electrical engineering and make less money than that dude who tells passengers to stand clear of the closing doors?
