VIII's are still one of if not the most comfortable retro Jordan 1-15

1s are decent and atleast the 15 has zoom in the heel, 12s and the 11s actually have air units. There's nothing in the 8 but hard as material and cardboard

False, they have a big heel air unit. In fact i can take a pic of how big it is, because my 2003's recently crumbled

And X1's haven't been comfortable since 2000

True it has big air unit

But the problem is that hard polyurethane midsole makes the air unit functionless

Same problem for Jordan IX
I know my Jordan IX has a big air unit but that midsole is hard.

XI has air unit with soft phylon midsole
XII has zoom plus soft phylon midsole

Polyurethane so hard that you barely feel any softness. Doesn’t mean big heel air unit isn’t there.

Jordan 7 heel air unit is directly under the insole.... perhaps that’s why it feels softer?
