i have zero pity for melo. he could’ve waited and signed with new york with a better supporting cast instead of forcing a trade mid season depleting the talent pool in the process .

I get they've been trying to push signature lines and that's what the contracts had. But because of the whole Jordan problem (it's a signature on a Jordan brand never = Jordan retro status) I've always thought they should've been using their sig athletes to push PEs/ associate them with the GR colorways that sit.
They are going to sell out because it commemorates Melo.
What they are doing with Jeter is the way to go with a lot of their signature athletes. Non OG colorways will sit (and you can't retro OG colorways those all the time). Utilize that athletes that can't sell their own signature shoes like Melo, Kawhi, Butler to push Jordan retros with new/ PE colorways.
They are going to sell out because it commemorates Melo.

Melo went to WCF with nuggets but didn’t get to finals if were judging who’s shoes we buy based on champions then let’s all return our penny’s and Barkley’s

When it comes to the SHOES, Pennys and Barkleys will always be better than the Melo line. No hate on Melo at all but he never lived up to the hype they gave to him. Barkley and Penny played in the Jordan era. And well, we know how that worked out. Melo to Lebron, same. Back to the topic though. Why would they honor him with a shoe that he never actually wore? At all. Why the 9? And Penny and Barkley at least made it to the Finals.
