The reason why they didn't keep the curved font is because they wanted to differentiate the new jerseys from the throwbacks 

 it's always about money with Dolan like come on the stupid half piping on the collar and arms weren't enough ?

As Knick fans their needs to be something we can do about the font! Knicks have changed back the jersey numeral font during pre-season before. You cannot mess with class. What if the Yankees changed the NEW YORK font on their jersey's? Public outcry.

Are those #'s correct? That's crazy. I was wondering why they chose him for that spot. Probably something to do with the demographic they're trying to cater to or something along those lines.
