The origin of Yahweh goes back further than the Pagan era. Keep studying.
Um, simmer down.
I never even bashed Judaism anywhere. I tolerate and respect all faiths. Show me where I did bash Judaism. Did you miss my point where I think all the monotheistic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are based out of Babylonic religions? The part I quoted had to do with ancient Jews and how they used to interpret their God.
My research does not have to do with whatever you are saying about starting a "Y" or something.Don't even know what you are talking about.
The scholarly research I have encountered presents a convincing theory that early Hebrew pagans shared many of the religion beliefs of their neighbors in Canaan and that had believed in the existence of such deities as Marduk, Baal, and Anat. They probably did not pray to all these deities, but the concept of their God went from a polytheist aspect, to a pantheon, and then to a monotheistic concept of God.
If you read throughout the Bible, there are so many references to many Gods.
Why are you so offended? That is what I choose to believe. If I choose to believe that these religious texts were man made and that the prophets were probably most likely annointed themselves as messengers just like David Coresh or who were probably high on drugs preaching to clueless masses, then so be it. That's MY belief. What's it to you if I want to believe this?
