Let's Turn This Post Into " Upcoming/Recommend A Scary Movie " Thread.

The Nun was a terrible cash grab. They knew they had an incredibly creepy character (when used correctly) so they picked a location with great horror ties. They forgot that you need good writing to make a decent movie.

It had potential but didn’t even come close.
I liked it better then this Halloween that just dropped

I'm the complete opposite. Nun was one of, maybe less than 5 movies I've ever seen (especially in theaters) that I wish I didn't. Felt like I completely wasted those couple hrs.

Halloween had its hiccups but I thoroughly enjoyed it

Finally watched Hereditary.

Really good, not great.

Where it lost me...I don't think the movie knew what kind of "horror" movie it was going to be. The very first scare was the grandmother appearing in the corner of the craft room...ok it's going to be a supernatural/demon movie...gotcha.

But then it goes into the, mental health stuff when you don't know if Toni Collette is making things up or not. Then you got to son being "possessed" by Paemon in the class room (??)...

Then you have the end where she's walking on walls and floating.

I kinda get where they were going, but it just got rushed and confusing at the end.

First one was surprisingly good
But I don’t think this one
will live up to the first one

Same cast and director but this one is written by the director (Christopher Landon).

Didn't take them a decade to make a sequel so it should be just as good.
