Lexus IS300

I thought this was a pretty nice car for a while. My homie had it but sold it and got an Acura instead (forgot which).
If you want a lot of mileage, Idk about the is300.

thats the car i would buy my wifey if 1) i was trickin 2) had monies 3) had a wifey.....

This is THE car I want to be my first car. IDC if I have to wait one more year just to get the money for a good used one. Give me a Black Onyx, cream interior, with 10% all around and I'm good money.

Nearly a decade after its release, I still think it's a beautiful car. A friend of mine has one and it's over 120,000 miles and is quite reliable.

Anyone suggesting an ES over an IS loses all credibility. Or maybe you meant "middle aged man's car", or "car that screams 'I can'treally afford a Lexus'".

Full disclosure: I drive an IS250.

Hows the maintenance on the IS250 and whats the diffference between that and the IS350?

^I've only had the IS250 for about 3 months, but all of the research I did before purchasing suggests it will be a great car, as far as maintenance goes. Ilove it in general so far. I don't know much about the IS350. The IS250 was sort of a follow on to the IS300, in that it's similar, but available inAll Wheel Drive(which I need in MN, RWD is asking for trouble in the winter here). I think the IS350 is similar to the 250, but considered a "stepup", in price and available options, etc.

i'm actually looking into getting this car also...

upgrading from a 2002 Accord.

$1000 bones enough to drop for a down payment?

I've had one for around 4 years... Zero problems.

It's been the perfect first car. Added a Greedy Evo 2 exhaust and it sounds insane.

Won't lie and say I'm not bored with it though.

The difference is power. The IS250 is a pretty slow car and the 350 is a quicker car. Other than that, you can get the same features andamenities. The brakes on the 350 might be larger than the 250 too, like the 3 series, not 100% sure however.

ok so the body is the same size? I see alot of 250s, but not so many 350s. so it's kinda hard to compare. If you know thatll be great.

^It's basically a 100hp difference between the two. Just go on Lexus' website and find out for yourself.

That's because of the price difference. Yes the chassis is exactly the same, the only one with a slightly different chassis is the IS-F. Myfriend, who is an accountant, worked for Lexus for a while and he said that for every 8 IS250's sold, only 1 IS350 is sold. Maybe people don't careabout performance, they want the car because of the way it looks and its features..hence why the 250 is more preferred.
