Jeff is an excellent prospect. Prolly the best blockin TE in '11 but he is very skilled. He doenst get to show out cus his HS coach runs a 80% run offense but him being on watch lists shows how talented he is

Favorte part of the Browneye spring game was when the announcers said that Devier Posey told them he did NOT have great hands. The the next two catchable balls he saw he flat out dropped. Then going over to Browneye Planet and reading his thread. Here is what I saw: Better than Julio and AJ because he had better stats LAST year than those 2. WILL have 1300 yards. WILL be a lock for the first round. 2nd best WR in that class. Ouch. Ca't say I agree with any of that.

In 1987, during the NFL players' strike, Robinson played one game for Washington, leading the ********' replacements to a 13-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Robinson's name comes up because new California University of Pennsylvania offensive coordinator Walt Harris watched tape of his QB, former Florida and Maryland player Josh Portis, and has visions of former Vols standout Robinson, writes Brian Herman:

"At his Florida high school, Robinson averaged 15 yards an attempt, not a completion," recalled Harris. "He was a dropback quarterback who could run, but Josh is faster and has a good arm. Josh is a great guy and a joy to be around. He has gifts very few players have."

Frank Ordoñez / Post-Standard file photoSyracuse football player Delone Carter's suspension will continue through this semester, but he will return to campus in the fall, according to his lawyer.Syracuse, NY - Syracuse University football player Delone Carter worked out a deal with SU officials this week that should allow him to return to school - and the football team - in the fall, his lawyer said today.

Carter was suspended two weeks ago after being charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault in a one-punch fight that followed a snowball-throwing incident on campus in February.

Lawyer George Raus said today Carter is to remain suspended for the remainder of this spring semester and for the summer semester. But he should be allowed to return to campus for the fall semester, the lawyer said.

"It's going to be hard on him," Raus said, noting Carter will have to make up any credit for incompletes he receives in this semester's courses as a result of being suspended two weeks ago.

By being banned from campus, he will lose out on the tutoring he normally receives as a result of being a member of the football team at SU, Raus said.

He also will have to perform 200 hours of community service," Raus said.

Raus said Carter hopes to be in good standing with SU in order to return to play football for a final season in the fall. His goal is to then go on to the NFL draft next April, the lawyer said.

Raus said he would be talking to the District Attorney's Office to see if there is any way to negotiate a settlement of the misdemeanor assault charge pending in City Court. Carter was charged two weeks ago with throwing one punch that caused serious facial injuries to another SU student Feb. 27.

Carter and fellow teammate Ryan Gillum had gotten out of Gillum's vehicle after it was struck by a snowball. The victim who was punched had nothing to do with the snowball-throwing incident, officials said.

Carter was charged in the case two weeks ago after he and Gillum were brought to police headquarters for questioning and Gillum implicated Carter as the person who threw the punch.

Raus said he believed the assault victim was agreeable to the resolution of the campus disciplinary matter brought against Carter as a result of the incident.


For the cats that played ball in here. Can you trust a teammate after they dropped dime on you? How will this affect a team's chemistry?

The only reason this is getting as much publicity as it is is because Syracuse is a college town and the university is its "pro" team. Students fight all the time and get off with a slap on the wrist.

I don't know about the DE runnin the 4.3 but I can attest to Zach Brown runnin a 4.2 with my own eyes.... it was hand timed but it was on may watches, He also runs track at UNC and brke the 60 meter school record then broke his own record at the next meet.
