What makes yall thing raising minimum wage wont effect anything else?
If a business has to pay their employees more, prices will go up to cover that cost, putting those people right back where they started.
Raising minimum wage isnt the answer.
why would you create 3 kids in this world if you work at mcdonalds & burger king
well then don't be suprised when you are struggling.Becuase maybe you wanted to have kids

exactly my point. im well off and I'm not comfortable right now having a kid but this guy has 3 and flips burgers.Fast food or not having kids will become a struggle of budgeting.
Too much reading in this thread but the army would help him support that
Mens going to the army is the same as a girl going into the the porn industry these days.
**** no its not. There still a shortage of people signing up and how is that the sameToo much reading in this thread but the army would help him support that

Don't know what emotional scars you get from joining the military but you getting health care plus a 4 year degree paid for from uncle Sam looks good to me.**** no its not. There still a shortage of people signing up and how is that the same
The dream of making it big and being able to be financially stable . When in reality only a select few climb the ranks and become financially better off with minimal emmotional scars
im right there with you. essentially people are saying the poor choose to be that way by bad decisions or lack of effort. theres so much more to being generationally poor than deciding not to drop out of high school. It just blows my mind that that many of you think the people that serve us everyday completing some of the most mundane tasks all made poor decisions and deserve not to earn a living wage.
the workers that come in and clean my office and your office I am sure are on minimum wage.
Movie theater employees, event staff at sports games and concerts, arent they on minimum wage as well?
Doesnt the minimum wage stretch beyond fast food workers?
I dunno man... maybe its just me being selfish but i just know that people on minimum wage are more than likely providing me with some type of service that I somewhat value at one point or another.
If all of a sudden all those people are gone because they want to "do better", im left with some stupid smuck of a kid performing poorly on a job that he doesnt care about because losing the job is without consequence to him.
If prices are raised wouldnt it just come down to a personal decision on whether you want to pay X amount more dollars to enjoy or entertain yourself?
If you cant afford it then shouldnt you try and go out and "do better" so that you can?

Don't think you are getting that for sucking on couple ***** for the camera.
still a huge over simplification. these people are products of their environment and this environment breeds people that dont value education which leads to what we see as poor decision making skills but within the context of their own lives and their own environment thats every day behavior. that in itself is an over simplification but socioeconomics is way more than making bad decisions.Nobody CHOOSEs to be poor, but people made other decisions that lead them there.
