Merona x NT - they rebrand, we rebuild...

Merona boys,

I need some support. Lately I feel as if Merona has become an unnecessary focus in my life. Every single day I am reading/researching on what the next Merona drop is going to be. I search for "steals" on older Merona gear (mainly fedoras, rugby polos, and slim fit khaki) all day long and even have ebay alerts on my phone.

I canʻt help but ask myself if I am becoming a slave to the brand Merona. Recently I read a book written by the Dalai Lama and he mentioned that if you focus your happiness based on material items, you will never truly be happy because you will constantly want more, or the next new thing.

Wondering if we in this thread could cook up a "minimalist" meets "Dalai Lama" meets "MeronaNT" standard for a balance between having the freshest Merona, and yet living a healthy lifestyle. Would limiting myself to 10 Merona pieces, 10 accessories and 10 minutes a day of research be adequate? Do I need to just take a break from Merona but then know that my gear will no longer be fresh?

Thanks to those who continue to support this thread and I look forward to your manaʻo (hawaiian word for feedback/wisdom/opinion),
Target is dropping two of its famous brands — and adding 12 new ones
Target is undergoing a massive makeover in the style and home aisles.
The big-box chain will overhaul half its apparel and accessories and more than a third of its home offerings in the next two years, according an exclusive in The Wall Street Journal. The goal of this strategic overhaul? To establish a deeper emotional connection with consumers and boost declining profits.

So what does this mean for budget-friendly shoppers everywhere? While you'll still find one-off designer collaborations, you’ll soon be saying goodbye to staple fashion lines, like Merona (men’s and women’s) and Mossimo (men’s), and hello to more than 12 new Target-exclusive brands for apparel and decor.

While the revamp may come as a surprise to some shoppers, if you’ve visited the kids’ section in the last year, you may have noticed some changes already in motion. “We took the leap and reinvented our approach, like when we launched Cat & Jack [which replaced Cherokee and Circo] as our kids’ apparel line about a year ago,” said Mark Tritton, Target’s chief merchandising officer, in a press release.

Their Cat & Jack line is pretty good though. (Know this because I have a daughter)

Hopefully this means a better move towards quality clothing pieces at a good price.

I remember I bought some Merona shorts for my Honeymoon. Came back and the crotch was worn down pretty bad. (interpret that as you will)

on some real **** 80%-90% of my basics come from mossimo...this **** hurts... :smh:
