funny cus i did the same thing for Resident Evil 5......copped a second PS3 just to play that one game....brought others though later on down the line, then sold it.
smh I never played a metal gear game before, almost bought the last one, the ratings it was getting was crazy.

We don't. And yes they are clones. Solid and Liquid were the only ones to survive Les Infante Terribles. The others were aborted.

Big Boss is the greatest solider of the 20th Century.
He was cloned and the project was called "Les Enfants Terribles"
Solid Snake is the protagonist of the entire series.
Liquid Snake is the antagonist of MGS1.
Solidus Snake was the and final clone. He was "perfect". Also the antagonist of MGS2.

Having to hunt your food, we got to meet the BOSS, and you cant kill Ocelot because there would be no MGS 1.....
To the ppl who like MGS 2?!?!?!?!? Crazy Codec cutscences, Naked Raiden? GF buggin him on the codec? Dark (As in the display) game...............Barely any Solid Snake? MGS 2 is like the Blueprint 2, way too many things going on after a superb, classic, groundbreaking predecessor.........
