The phone and the discman were already there. Apple just made it a little more perfect.

I have an iPod, but seriously, you guys love the damn company way too much. iPods are about the only thing I think they can do right. Although regular mp3players are fine, I do like the iTunes system.

My mom has an iMac and boy, does that thing suck. I'm sticking with Windows XP. Much easier for me to use.

I hate both companies. Microsoft is a swindling monster with its "pay now for x microsoftpoints" which, in the end, gives you the short end of thestick (I'm stuck with 280 left to spare, and I'm not spending it on damn wallpapers). Apple allows you to pay for as many songs as you want, but theuser interface seriously sucks, and is way overpriced. An IBM Thinkpad with Windows XP is all I need, and they're cheaper than any Mac laptop.

why exactly does the iMac suck? because you don't know the OS? that's a pretty dumb reason. if you sit down for a couple of days and actually use it,you'll find it a lot easier than windows XP. that's what makes macs great, their OS/apps is so seamless it's ridiculous.

Elaborate on this please.

there are so many flaws in your logic.

iPods are garbage. From personal experience, apple gives you a 1 year warranty and both my ipods have broke right around 1 year and 2 months... Never had azune, but im seriously considering purchasing another brand of mp3 player that lasts more than 1 year. anyone know any reliable ones?

zune > ipod (classic)

owned both, and i definitely prefer the zune.

don't even say ipod touch is better cause that's not even the same thing.

to each his own though.

Dont get all the hate on Zune ??

I had mine for like 3 years and have no complaints.

I can prob throw it across the street and it wont break.

Its a little bulky (1st gen) but I keep it in car so it doesnt really matter.

I have a brand new ipod that i havent even bothered adding music to bc of my Zune.

What I like:
-iTunes: Probably the only thing they do the best(IMO).
-iPod nano: Got it as a gift. Not complaining here.
-Microsoft Windows XP: Best OS in my opinion. My current computer, Dell Dimension 4600, bought in 2003, has had no crashes, and I've never bothered to evendownload the security updates.
What I don't like:
-Microsoft Points: Forces you to buy all these points at once, and sometimes you are left with extra.
-iMacs, any Apple OS Computer: I don't see the hype about this computer. My mom's iMac has frozen about six times in a period of 2 years, due tooverheating problems. Took about 2-3 hours to cooldown, cost me a small English paper one evening. By the way, I left my Dell on for about 3 days straight(didn't mean to), while I went on a weekend vacation. Still worked fine when I got back, went straight to the internet. I don't like how there is notoolbar for me to select Mozilla Firefox, and with one click, get back onto Word or Powerpoint.

So, I guess you got me on the whole laptop price issue, as a good ThinkPad will cost a thousand, but the cheapest version costs close to $600, whereas thecheapest for a MacBook is about $1000. It's really just XP that I like better than Mac OS. I don't like being limited to only a few shortcuts on onebar at the bottom, whereas on PC, I can put shortcuts all over the desktop. Also like having the ability to right-click, copy and paste.

I'm a chooser, and I'm definitely not a brand %@!*%. But go ahead and argue.

Ive been running my comp for 3 years with out an AV. I never update it and every 6 months or so I scan my HD and I never get viruses.

You have to be dumb to get a virus on a PC either that or have a chronic porn watching problem.

Are you serious dude, youre judging a computer by leaving it on for 3 days? I haven't turned my computer off in weeks...
roll.gif

Computers are made tough to do this. At my job in an office, I ran that command to check how long a computer has been on, and its been running for 4months..not even hibernating, and it still flawlessly performs.

What about the computers that run servers, that have to be on 24/7? No problems with those...

SMH at the Apple users getting butt-hurt by ONE dude's comments on Mac's

Yall fanboys are sad
