Exactly. The "City of Miami" is all of the inner-city hoods and like two rich areas anyway, the rest of it is Gables, Hialeah, West/South/North Miami and unincorporated Dade. S/O to my Miramar and Pines shones that claim "Miami" though.

One thing I noticed about Miami, New Orleans, and a few other cities I've visited, is that they're small as hdll in comparison to Houston. The only one that rivals Houston in size fron what I've sedn personally is LA. And it's probably the size of Houston but with a lot less dead space.

but yea man, Detroit is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be at all, ive never been tried or abducted, never even close to an altercation, and ive worked in some of the roughest parts, and some of my ex's are from the roughest parts

if you're in town or whatever and want to have a good time for the weekend, just do what you would in any other city, check out the attractions and party Downtown, if you go to a nice club (which is where you wanna be anyways because thats where all the baddest hos are) you will be A1

New Orleans:

The stuff you see on TV, it's true for the most part. Party scene is intense. Lot of clubs. 
Mardi Gras, Festivals, Attractions.. etc... always something to do.
Weather is great in the fall/spring.. HOT AS HELL in the summer. This is the south for real.. HUMID!
Super sports town. We take sports serious: Saints, Pelicans, LSU, Tulane, High Schools. The rivalries are intense.
The hood is NEVER too far away. If you take a wrong turn.... yeah....
The good neighborhoods are great. The bad neighborhoods are BAD.
Crime is a problem, but blame our horrible police.
City isn't too big, but it isn't too small. We're passionate about ours.. 

I love my city..

cosign. been to N/O 2x before i turned 21, and still had a blast. haven't traveled in a bit, but its currently at the top of my list to travel to when i get the chance. last time i was there was a month before katrina. i want to see what's changed and what hasn't.
