*%+!$% got post happy last night.

Portland has been trying to find a permanent solution at small forward. Hedo would take care of that. Portland could then trade for a starting PG or developBayless.

To me, Bayless is the type of guard who only tries when he wants to, and he doesn't have the talent yet to be effective if he's not trying.

So with the Hawks most likely not gonna re-sign Bibby

Marvin Williams is a FA and hasn't improved that much

even though he can ball, but isn't the greatest 5 on 5 baller out there in Jamal Crawford now on the team

and you never know if Josh Smith is going to get move

do you guys still think they have a better roster from top to bottom than the Wizards?

So Turkoglu opted out. Guess we are going to be seeing him in Blazer jersey next season

You know I do not get why they are saying they will not sign Bibby

What if they move Johnson to the three?

Marvin developed a nice three point jumper but really hasn't been a Number two pick.

I think the Hawks would be very Dangerous with:

Horford
Smith
Johnson
Crawford
Bibby

They say they did it to sign two of the three and Zaza is one. I just think they let Marvin go to the Highest bidder and re-sign Bibby to a moderate deal.

Darren Rovell of CNBC released the 2009-10 rookie contract salaries over their three-year deals. Rovell compared Griffin's $16M deal to the $25M in guaranteed money Mark Sanchez received from the Jets. The NFL owners are interested in putting a rookie scale system into their new CBA.

1. Blake Griffin LAC $16,071,840
2. Hasheem Thabeet MEM $14,379,840
3. James Harden OKC $12,913,440
4. Tyreke Evans SAC $11,642,640
5. Ricky Rubio MIN $10,542,960
6. Johnny Flynn MIN $9,576,000

7. Stephen Curry GS $8,741,520
8. Jordan Hill NYK $8,008,560
9. DeMar DeRozan TOR $7,361,52
10. Brandon Jennings MIL $6,993,360
11. Terrence Williams NJN $6,643,560
12. Gerald Henderson CHA $6,311,520
13. Tyler Hansbrough IND $5,995,800

Never knew they got paid like that. IMO it's a lot for a team. I think they would be better off spending money elsewhere.

BTW, I wonder how Flynn feels being pick after Rubio, which made him lose nearly a million over 3 years.

at Hedo ruinin his career in Portland.

I'll be so happy if they sign him, just another failure for me to chalk up.

30 year old streaky sf's are not the answer last I checked. And it would only stunt any development they expect out of Batum and Outlaw. (unless theymove them)

Oh and the boy genius that everyone loves so much, Kevin Pritchard, yeah, he got Pritchslapped as they like to say last night. 18 months ago teams wereofferin all star's to get Sergio, but he overvalued as usual, claimed he was waiting for the right deal and ended up moving Serg for a second rounder.

The Grizzlies had agreed in principle to acquire power forward Zach Randolph Thursday night but Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling later nixed the trade, according to two NBA sources.

During the NBA draft, executives from both teams hammered out a package with Randolph and Darko Milicic as the key pieces. Griz guard Greg Buckner would also have been included in the transaction.

The Griz ended up dealing Milicic to the New York Knicks for swingman Quentin Richardson after they waited on a final answer from the Clippers and received a curious no.

Something is wrong with the article where I can't copy and paste the whole thing.

http://blogs.commercialappeal.com/t...griz-fail-to-land-randolph-and-much-more.html

Basically Grizz were offered Beasley for the 2nd pick. Phoenix wanted Rudy and 2nd for Amare. There were a few deals that I would've done right off thebat. Allen, Scalabrine and Walker for 36th pick and cash. Then, the trade with Miami with Chalmers for 27th pick.

That's a wild #!! article.

Beasley for 2 hmmm..

eek.gif
@ the Rockets offers of course Memphis declined

Kerr was tripping too. Amare for Gay AND 2? ****

Oh my God... That truly is the most pathetically run organization inbasketball... That's unspeakably awful...

If Memphis turned down Beasley for #2, Wallace oughta be fired... Like, yesterday... Heisley shoulda walked in the War Room after he hung up the phone and hadsecurity escort him out the building... Turning down Mario Chalmers for #27 is pretty bad, too... Conley or not, Chalmers is better right now, and I thinkhe's better going forward... That's a legitimate lock-down point guard defensively, and I think he fits better next to Mayo long-term than Conleydoes...

The other offers... Meh... They didn't miss out on much...

Nice to see Dallas apparently at least tried to get to #2... Howard doesn't really fit in Memphis, but he's a worthwhile trade chip, and Ithink worth the #2 in this draft if it were another team or situation...

It might just be me... but I think that given the right financial assistant assigned to them, that a few monkeys and/or giraffes could run some of these teamsbetter than alot of these GM's/Owners.
