New song about Nikes/Jays and consumer culture. Not as corny as I expected [VIDEO]

Can't believe people really think it was terrible.

I mean granted the song isn't amazing but at least its some what original.  First time ive heard a song take shots at sneaker culture in the addictive sense.

Video will be watched again. video is an 8/10 song is about a 6/10...so 7/10 %+@ total...passing grade

Posting a video about Jordan Brand brainwashing consumers into zombies that will buy anything they put out or that people let material things run their life is like posting a video about masturbating being bad on a porn site. Most people on here will say the concept of the song is corny because it makes them feel like the losers they really are for sitting in front of Niketown for 3 days for a limited edition piece of leather with rubber on the bottom

he takes the song too serious is the problem. all over dramatic and makes it seem like its somethin serious...... but its just shoes.... and this is coming from a shoehead aswell

I wanna see one about stamp collecting now

Great message, and I agree, people get far too consumed with the brand. That shot of the chick with all of the kicks was kind of sad to me, mainly b/c of the vibe I was getting from the song. Phil knight created a monster, corporate dope dealer. And it is an addiction to many people.

Glad I haven't bought a pair of js in 6 yrs.

I really don't know why more of the posts related to this topic are about the skill of Macklemore or opinions of the song itself rather than the two quotes above; content wise. (The point of the song).....when I first heard this song, all I could think about was the message he was trying to portray and how true his words really were.....Maybe if the current sneaker community heard this song they'd stop being HBs, but we all know that won't happen, so another opportunity to change the situation gets overlooked yet again.............I'm glad at least UPPTEMPO8387, sooperhooper, Macklemore, among the few including myself get what Nike has done over the years and have moved on like they should.

You don't need to move on to escape the "corporate dope dealer".
Just buy what you like, not what you think others will think are cool.

Hobby's are healthy and alot of fun until they turn into obsessions.

You guise are missing the point, it's not about sneakers but how addicted we get from wanting to cop. Last time I
checked, someone getting killed over something as trivial as sneakers is an issue if you ask me. A serious one we
as a sneaker community need to address.

I can honestly say I've never waited in line for a pair of sneakers.

The song is alright, just listened to Otherside and I think it's better

I can't make a stoneface big enough for some of the replies in this topic.

Anyways, song was pretty decent. Video was pretty dope too. But I'd hope so if they had to fund raise 20k to get it done.
