when you can hardly tie the laces once, the laces are too short.
Yeah I feel you. Just be glad you have one pair of shoes you need to get longer laces for, instead of having like 20 pairs of shoes you have to get shorter laces for.

Must be personal preference. I think they're a perfect length. It's nice not having them tied once and not flopping around. Haven't had to retie or adjust fit between games at all with these.
