Looks like the Free Tr V8 will be the Nike Week Zero shoe for this year. I really like this model and the speckles on midsole are a nice touch. Hopefully the UT pair comes out good.

I don't know for sure. The teams that aren't football and basketball got the frees last year, I don't see that they would change things. So at least Nike's making them. I'd rather have the Jordan running shoe than that trainer.

Hibbett sports is showing only ten teams on the week zero trainers so I guess UNC isn't one of them

There's also no Texas, LSU, or Oregon, which are all big programs that usually get represented in these types of releases. Maybe Hibbett is only getting a few of the teams or they haven't posted them all to the Launch Calendar? Michigan is getting both a Jordan and Nike trainer so I think there's a good chance we'll see a UNC one as well.

Equipment manager at UNC just posted a pic of the Jordan trainers football is getting. They look like a cross between the Grind 2 and the Relentless. Last time someone posted their pics elsewhere they took the photos down so I won't post, just check the UNC equipment twitter.

22 total colleges?? Damn. I remember the Rivalry TR1 pack released in October of 2012 just had five schools, FSU, Oregon, LSU, USC, and Ohio State. I would suspect these college packs are just getting more and more popular, seeing how there used to not be that many team-branded releases, was a big time rarity. Now its an annual thing with Nike.
