It's actually the first version of flywire...so plastic...and around the toe area is synthetic....Fuse didn't technically come out until summer 2010 with the introduction of the Hyperfuses.

It is OG materials though

The 1s had a shorter carbon fiber plate and the ankle pods are absent but they did it for the better

1st ever 4s for me , just came in from Nike, my fave Kobe model is the 11s, which I wear 11.5, went with that for these and fit is pretty good , feel good right out the box

Granted I only played once it was pretty **** on dusty court - had to wipe more than usual. PG2, kobe 9 or kyrie 4 held up solid with minimal wiping on that court. Similar experience to harden 3 (which also has herringbone) but better than AJ 32
