Last purchases of the year for me. Scooped the Icon swingman on the NDC restock on the same day I took an L on the grinches and paid resell on the BLs for $275. Grinches will be had sometime early next year

That’s why I refuse to pay “resell”. A lot of those shoes are defective as hell. They should be at the Nike Outlets more than anything. Almost all of the Kobe 5 rings have that defect/scuff/poor paint job or whatever it is on the back. I’d have a hard time accepting that at $180. But these folks are selling it to people for $250+!!! It just seems like all of Kobe’s shoes have been a rushed job since his AD’s. The Protro 1’s have been the best as far as quality goes. The others have clearly been just thrown together...

It's his preference lol. Yea most of the Kobes have had defect marks or extra glue... but hey... they make them with the "intent" of hooping where they'll get messed up anyway. Now if you choose not to hoop in them then that's on you as it's your choice. Just as long as the sneaker ain't falling apart within early usage.

Sucks that Nike doesn’t restock those black mamba jerseys in men’s. Wasn’t this a restock of the yellow #8 jersey? Plus kids black mamba also released, not sure if the first release or a restock.
I would gladly trade my two jerseys for a grinch lol. Didn’t even realize it was kids till after checkout. At least the yellow swingman is men’s sizing.

Those are factory flaws. Had same types of issues and got $20 credits for pairs from goat and stockX. Would of been the same or could of been worse from Nike direct. Surprised they even offered that thought. Most pairs probably wouldn’t make it through otherwise. Think that’s why they aren’t being that stringent with the Vs.

I've gotten dozens of pairs straight from Nike that looked so much worse than that.

I'm not saying it's right, but it's just how it is. I've gotten aesthetically PERFECT pairs as well, and as soon as I put my foot in...there was a bubble or warp in the strobel or some other ****up that made them unbearable to wear.

Honestly, finding the perfect pair from Nike and Adidas has been a total crapshoot lately. I've gotten yeezy QNTMs with a glue stain right on the toe box that doesn't come out so I had to buy another pair and take the L on the first pair (both resell price). Kobe BL pair was actually perfect the first time, but the second pair I ordered had glue stains galore plus the toe cap area was totally misaligned. 5x champ cw had a major scuff in the back so GOAT agreed to take it back since it should've been listed as New with Defect. All of the ones I mentioned I paid resell for so it just sucks when you pay that and get stuck with crap QC. Either gotta just learn to ignore the defect or drop the coin on another pair.

I have a huge scratch on my OW UNC that I probably should've returned to GOAT. They gave the option, but at the time, I thought they'd just send me back the same pair if I ordered again so I just took the credit and ate it. Maybe I might just get another pair at some point and try and offload the first pair for whatever price the second one costs. Sorry to derail the Kobe V thread.

Picked up a size 11.5 pack but noticed the ankle collar is yellow compared to my other pairs (sz 8 and 10.5)
the 11.5 is the furthest pair away. Is this noticable on your pairs?

Hmm something definitely off with the pair i picked up. The yellowing is so noticeable, but its factory laced and the bottom soles are icy

I don’t own a pair of the undefeated but the pair in the back looks off.

Collar looks like it has a bigger dip than the others
Tongue looks off
Blue tab in the back looks thinner

Not sure the yellowing itself is any sign of wrongdoing, but this was exactly why I sold my white pair from the pack before having to deal with this. Shoes like that seem to turn much quicker than I can keep up with
