I suspect that OP didn't know the kind of commitment something like this takes.
You got a bunch of artists, and producers, AND engineers trying to collaborate to write, record and mix a new song every week. It's not likely gonna happen.
Nobody asked me but I've put a lot of thought about something like this for awhile now. Instead of tossing out new topics and creating new songs weekly, I think you'd be better off gathering up four songs from each of the competitors and using only the songs that have been submitted in the competitions, the challenge being; select a song good enough to get to the next round but also leaving a song good enough to win the next rounds.
That way you've already got all the music you'll need to proceed with the tourney. Set up a championship bracket and a consolidation bracket so that you get at least two tracks played per contestant.
I watched a production battle go down like that.
With that setup, I guarantee, you could count in at LEAST 8 contestants,
I'm DEFINITELY down as an artist if you run it that way.
