Do snowboarding boots fit true to size? Trying to buy them as a gift online. Sz. 10.5 in sneakers, what size should I get in Snowboarding boots? The brand isSolomon. Thanks.

QFT. Ill fitting boots will make any snowboarding experience terrible. Spend the extra money and buy a pair the fits properly.
 
when buying snowboarding boots you want them to fit nice and comfortable and tight..you want your toes to slightly touch the very tip of the boot. thereason for that is because when snowboarding your knees are in a bent position..when that happens your feet slide back a little so it then creates moreroom..so if you buy true to size depending on your feet when your actually riding the boot may or may not feel big. I wear an 11 normally but my snowboardboots are a 10.5. making sure your feet are comfortable while riding is one of the most important things. when i first bought my boots it took me 3 or 4different sizes and brands to get the perfect comfort for me..

my advice..dont buy online.
