FB, you on twitter?  Any of you guys on there?

Keep up the good work Lou and Jim. After the white sox sweep the cubs, it's still safe to say that hendry will say lou's job will be safe cuz he likes him or is scared to tell him that he is fired. It's so clear to see that these players have quit on Lou.

I need to get on there because posting on YUKU is like waiting in line at the DMV. I seriously can't stomach nt anymore and posting in the NL Central thread is the only place worth making any future threads in (that and NHL threads).

When you get on there, look me up.  Same name as here, CP1708, there's a whole bunch of NT'ers on there already.

The deconstruction of the Chicago Cubs is looming. This team is near death. I thought we could contend for the division, and boy was I wrong. After seeing Zambrano melt down again, I'm ready to let him go. I was one of his biggest fans, but I'm done. Going after his teammates like that is inexcusable. When D. Lee barks back at you like that, you know something is wrong. What an overpaid baby. Sorry Carlos, but you're no longer welcome. And I'm not putting this all on Z, the offense has been lethargic all season.

Tear the whole ++!$!$+ thing down. Play all the young guys. I'm done. Start over with players who love the game and are gonna give you 100%. I dont know what the hell happened to this team. Its sad really.

Oh and Lou, you can take your old !*# back to Tampa too.

I'm done.

Word man.  I used to back Z a ton, but this is ridiculous.  Fish or cut bait.

Too bad Hendry was an idiot and gave him a stupid extension in 07.  His and Sori's contract and the Cubs are going to suck forever.

I'm patiently waiting for Ryno to be our new skipper.

 Harang still sucks though.
I think they need to trade Harang. It's hard to give up on him when he has been struggling this year, but if you look at his previous years, when he used to be the Reds' dominant starter in 06-07, his strikeouts have been going down and his ERA has been going up, along with his pay. I think it's time they trade him or trade a few prospects for more relievers who are ready to pitch in the big leagues. The bullpen has not helped at all this year besides Cordero (who hasn't been terribly perfect) and of course, Arthur Rhodes.

Although U forgot to mention Hendry cuz he is the mastermind, the culprit of why we can't just be sellers and dump salaries...

Ryno becoming the next Cubs manager is skeptical to me. No experience managing in the majors. I always said back when he interviewed for the job that Joe Giradi seemed like the best fit. I'm still standing by that. (I think Baltimore wants to interview Sandberg)

As for Z, it's tough man. He was and still is one of my favorite Cubs players, because he carries his emotions on his sleeves. Now I do not condone what he did, and it is getting tiresome. To say that the losing is not bothering him is a lie though. The man goes all out. The results aren't  there, but he does go all out.  But back to the tirade, some of the blame goes to Lou too. If he got up from his seat more and showed the fans more emotion, then perhaps Z wouldn't done what he did. Who knows? But Lou gets some of the blame on this, that's for sure. Whether or not it would work, that's not the point. It's the little things that count. We see that fire in Lou, it shows us that he actually frustrated. Not the frustrated postgame comments of, "what can u do?" or "what am i gonna do?" That's not emotion Lou....

If Z played his last game in a Cubs uniform...then I guess I"m probably the only one here to say Thanks Z for all the memories, good and bad.....At the end of the day, he wanted to win as much as we did. He just got selfish while going at it. Man, it seems like light years when he pitched that no-no up in Milwaukee. Regardless, that's one memory, I'll never forget. Z amd Cubs moment alike. That's up there with the 2003 postseason run up until game 6 NLCS.

Anyone wants to bet that the cubs will be swepted tomorrow? This team deserves it. We are the laughingstock of the MLB. Rightfully so

10 games under .500

but don't mention that to Jim Hendry or the word sellers to him

he still thinks that the 2010 cubs are playoff destinedOh and Lou said if Z comes back(which he will) he will be in the bullpen. I told u he wasn't going to be traded.

winning the last game to avoid a sweep is not considered a well deserving win to me. Pirates will take two of three from us.....maybe a sweep but we're at Wrigley. We tend to play slightly better at home.

Back to our dysfuctional management. Why was Jim Hendry and Lou bothered by Z having dinner with Ozzie? Is that against team rules? Z isn't wearing a cubs jersey and neither is ozzie wearing a sox jersey. Two good friends. The way I see it, nothing wrong.

Again I do not condone what Z did, but let's examine it more closely b4 making quick judgements. Z is our longest player as a Cub. Why are we so quick to throw him under the bus and exile him out of town? I watched that dugout scene over and over. It didn't look like Z was talking directly about D-Lee. I saw the lip movement of horse__ and lazy. Again, he was in the wrong because u do not air that out for everyone to see. Maybe that happens in the clubhouse, but not in the dugout. Going back to the scene, I bet if Lee didn't confront Z, then Lou wouldn't suspend Carlos. Hence he would've kept pitching.

Let's go back to the Michael Barrett, Carlos Zambrano scuffle back in 07. Carlos went straight at Michael, so u know he had a definite problem with him. Now go back to last friday. I'd think that if Z would've had a problem with Lee, he would've confronted him like he did with Barrett. (which is a bad move cuz Derrick Lee is a big dude lol)

So my conspiracy is:

Z was being typical Z, lashing out his frustations, calling his team out, but nothing was directed at Lee nor did Z say the words Derrick or Lee, Pinella saw that the soft spoken quiet leader in Lee get mad, and took action. Pinella then told Hendry to suspend Z, find offers from other teams for him. Jim, being the chicken@#!@ he is, obliged. Now it seems like they are going to use Z as the fall guy of the 2010 Chicago Cubs while Lou and Jim look error free. Z will remain as a Cub for the rest of the season. His role as a starter is tarnished as they put him in the bullpen, being mandatory. He will be frustrated with his role, situation and the way the Cubs have treated him, as the bad guy, and he will waive his NTC in the offseason.

I have other theories about D Lee that a radio show made good point about. It's about whether or not Derrick decides to wave his NTC....but I'll wait and see how that turns out before I post about Lee.

Pirates going for all time terribleness on the road, hard to watch

Pathetic, embarrassing. We can't even beat the pirates!!! And this team is talking about what the white sox 11 game winning streak? F that we aren't as good as the white sox. F a winning streak....ain't gonna happen!!!
Cardinals rally in ninth to top D-backs
By Michael Bleach / MLB.com
06/28/10 11:00 PM ET
ST. LOUIS -- The Cardinals rallied in the bottom of the ninth and took advantage of some sloppy D-backs defense to get a walk-off win on Monday night.
The ninth started with singles from Yadier Molina and Brendan Ryan before the Arizona defense broke down. Brought in to bunt, Adam Wainwright took advantage of an error to reach second, bringing home a run in the process. With men on second and third, Skip Schumaker hit a grounder to Arizona first baseman Adam LaRoche and Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero was unable to handle the throw home, both men on base crossed home plate setting off the celebration.

After taking a shutout into the sixth inning, Chris Carpenter created the need for a comeback by giving up three late homers.

Dan Haren's solo shot in the the seventh tied things up, and a Mark Reynolds fly ball bounced out of Winn's glove and over the wall for a two-run homer in the eighth.

The Cardinals got to Haren early, before the D-backs ace settled in to a groove. Schumaker and Felipe Lopez led off the first inning with singles, before a wild pitch and an Albert Pujols double brought in the Cardinals' first two runs.

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa was ejected in the bottom of the ninth for jawing at the umpires from the dugout. It was his first boot of the season.

. We came away with a lucky win, D-Backs couldn't hold the lead.

My prediction on facebook was right, about the pirates takin 2 out of 3 from us. And I'll be right again when the reds take 3 of 4 or we split the series....
