Just because Tyson has no offensive skills doesn't mean he's not top 27 in the NBA. Rebounding, defending, leadership, all those things plus more is why he started for Team USA and won a chip in Dallas.
at least hes a defensive center that understands that he has 0 offensive skills and is okay with only scoring on pick and rolls and ally oops rather than turning the ball over trying out one of his 2 bad post moves

*cough* Dalembert *cough*

I wouldn't say Tyson Chandler has no offensive skills.

Being able to set screens, rolling to the basket (thus sucking in the defense), catching the ball and finishing are all valuable skills.

If you give Tyson the ball ALONE, what would be do with it besides pass?

Who cares. There's more to basketball than going 1 on 1. He's a mobile 7 footer who can defend at a high level, rebound, finish everything around the basket, get extra possessions with his tap outs, and knock down ~70% of his free throws. He wasn't healthy last year but when healthy, like he was in 2012, he's extremely valuable and a top 20 player in the league.

Never been a top 20 player in the league bro

He was though, bro.

It's amazing how little the average fan cares about defense. Tyson took the Knicks from the 22nd ranked defense to the 5th best defense in the league and won DPOY in the process. He was absolutely a top 20 player.

I think never. Dude (well used to) kisses his mom on the mouth at games and leads every interview off with references to Thanking God. He'll always be perceived as infallible golden boy, especially with somebody like Russ next to him to play lightning rod for all criticism (Brooks benefits too), until and unless he does something stupid like gets caught doing 100mph down the interstate with weed and a gun in the car.

dwayne wade use to be the darling of the nba.... look at him now...

Wade has always had his fair share of haters. I was on NT when people started calling him 'D-Whistle' which was way back in 06.

And dudes on here tore him up after the wheelchair incident. IDK he's never really been as likeable as Durant, or even close
