Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

Read the last few pages in this thread and was hoping to get some clarification. Going to Vegas November 6-9. It's just going to be me and my best friend.
Mainly wondering about the pool situation. For people who go regularly, are any pools open year round? I was looking to stay somewhere "value" priced, but from what I'm reading, I think I'd rather just drop money on staying at Encore. Are the encore pools open in November? I was hoping to do "pool parties", but from what I'm reading you need to get a table that's $500+ and I'm definitely not doing that. So if pool parties are out of the question, which hotel pools seem to be the most lively?

Any clubs open with just a cover or is it the same $500+ table nonsense just to get IN?
For those that have been recently, where are the bars that are open and have good vibes?
Probably gonna try and post up somewhere on Sunday and watch football. What's the best gameday experience there as far as wings/drinks/table availability?

Lastly, we plan on going to Zion in Utah and hike Angels landing on Friday. Is there anything more local to Vegas (within 3 hours in any direction) that has wildly unique photo worthy type hike/waterfall/lakes?

There's a bunch of good hiking in Vegas. Try lone mountain and there's a waterfall and grotto at red rock. Lake Las Vegas is a real smooth spot just outside the city about 20 minutes away

Encore resort is only open Thursday through Monday these days, and the pool is guest only. They scanned my card every time to confirm. We were kickin' at the XS pool all day and it was wide open. Nobody there. I can't imagine they're open these days, though. The weather has turned.

Circa is either on soft opening or just opened. Looks like a dope spot if you're going for a big sports weekend, plus it's downtown so more low-key if you're tired of the strip.
Will it have Strip prices? Buddy’s of mine are going on a bachelor party and planning to watch the super bowl there

I assumed it would be somewhere in between, but I wanted to check:

I tried midweek in Feb for here and PH, 160 at Circa vs 140 at PH. This place better be nice for that price downtown, not even on Fremont st.

Halloween was definitely pretty interesting, definitely not like past years but still enjoyable overall. Just got my Covid tests back and negative thankfully, but it was a quite a few private mansion parties and stuff that was litty over the weekend.

Would you feel comfortable if I did my bachelor there?

I'd be cool with it, might have to get a little creative though with where it'd be, Air B&B vs traditional bottle service.

Yeah there is still time but considering all options - still want Scottsdale but it may end up being just chilling more so at the house

OR we get security who administers tests before randoms can get it

Yo, what's good NT!?

I've booked a trip for Dec 11 - Dec 14. Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon. Me and my girl for her birthday. Staying at the Venetian. First visit for both of us.

We plan to eat good. Hit the scene (lounge/club/strip club). Gamble a little [a couple hundred, max]. :nthat:. Sightsee, etc. Also, she mentioned wanting to take lots of pics... I'm on the fence about renting a car.

It goes without saying, we're trying to have the time of our lives. My people know me for being frugal [e.g. I never pay resale for sneakers lol], but I don't mind spending a little bit if the experience is worth it [not really, but I don't want to eliminate anything from jump]. We're both educated, young professionals, but also well acquainted with rachetness -- the comfortable anywhere types.

I've done some research, but I'm looking for the inside scoop, stuff the regulars and locals know. Help me out, please. I welcome any suggestions you can offer up.

Whatever you do, don’t eat multiple double sliders from White Castle.

Venetian /palazzo is so dope, you’ll love it.
Check that frugal mentality for the weekend lol. Enjoy yourselves..
I dunno about the strip club scene in these times, sounds not good imo....
