It hurts me to say it, but QFT.Originally Posted by bright nikes
Man, to see what direction both of these franchises have gone in the last year or so is incredible.
The 04-08 Suns were just like the 2000-2003 Kings. Both teams played a high uptempo run & gun style and played no defense. Both teams hadtalented but under acheiveing PF's in Chris Webber & Amarie Stoudamire. Both teams had allstar and clutch shooting PG's in Mike Bibby & SteveNash. Both teams had defensive specialists, dirty playing, & sharp shooting SG's in Doug Christie & Raja Bell.Originally Posted by bright nikes
yeah the 04-08 suns were sick to watch, but it was a given that kind style of play was not going to win a championship.
i give a portion of the blame to the players not buying into porter's system, call them system players whatever - but how amare, nash, barbosa all did a 360 once gentry was put into place and that runnin style was implemented isn't fair to porter.
also, all the players the suns traded away (rights to nate rob, rondo, etc) is not a good look.
I still don't believe this. Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it will never happen. A few things go the Suns way.....Idon't want to go down that road again.Originally Posted by bright nikes
