Manny would have to come back from the injury and legitimately KO someone to gain some hype for the rematch. Then the storyline can be, "he's healthy for this one yada yada yada"

I dont see a rematch happening though. This is SAS and Floyd just gassin themselves
Im sure they will match Manny up with a semi-bum like a Zab Judah or Pauli M type

% of people who been in fights to boxing critics probably low as hell in this thread as in real life as well.

@darrenrovell: A class action lawsuit against Manny Pacquiao & Top Rank for failing to disclose injury has been filed. Class would involve tickets & PPV

All the people in this thread talking about who would/wouldn't buy a 2nd fight remind me of all the guys in the Jordan forum who "pass" on retros when they first see the pics but are up at the crack of dawn on release date.

Lol Exactly then they hit u with "They dope once I really looked at em" line...

Love the point someone made about the fight to those blaming Mayweather for a boring fight:
I think what drives people nuts is a lack of boxing knowledge. People who rarely if ever watch boxing, saw all the hype over the last 5 years and bought into the media driven narrative that this was the fight of the decade. They bought into the narrative that the so called "People Champ" Manny Pacquiao was the only guy who could beat the "Evil" Floyd Mayweather.

Now reality has struck those who were previously naive to Floyd Mayweather. Floyd did what Floyd has always done, he doesn't take risks, he puts himself in the best position to use his unique skill set. Most people who follow boxing know this, the onus was on Manny Pacquiao to push the pace of the fight and force Mayweather into a position he's not comfortable with. Manny couldn't, he was to small and to limited offensively to do anything to Mayweather. Mayweather unequivocally exposed Manny's limited tool set and it shouldn't come as a surprise to people. The fight was boring, not because of Floyd but because Manny wasn't good enough to really test Floyd. It sucks, but that's boxing.

Morning Win
That terrible fight was Manny Pacquiao's fault, not Floyd Mayweather's

Perhaps you are one of the millions of people who forked over $100 in hopes of watching the fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. You bought into the hype and hysteria. Mayweather was risking his 47-0 record against a 36-year-old Pacquiao looking to resuscitate a flailing career. These, you told yourself, were the two best pound-for-pound fighters of this era.

How could this not be a great fight?

Mayweather’s fight was excellent. It was, and if you dispute that, you didn’t bother watching his 47 fights prior. He boxes, he doesn’t fight. This affair was never going to feature a scene from Rocky. Mayweather danced for 12 rounds, carefully picking punches, strategically denying Pacquiao momentum.

Some call Mayweather’s strategy cowardly, others call it boring, but no one can dispute its effectiveness.

Similarly, no one can dispute that Pacquiao threw just 429 punches in the fight, landing 81. That’s approximately half the number he typically throws. Pacquiao plays for knockouts, and it was clear from the beginning that he had no intention of even attempting to bring Mayweather down.

Spectators expecting a fight on Saturday night have Pacquiao, and only Pacquiao, to blame for the mundane spectacle they witnessed. Mayweather executed his plan to perfection, and Pacquiao was happy to oblige. At the end of the night, Pacquiao tried to convince himself that he not only was competitive but also winning the fight, a fallacy Max Kellerman quickly put to sleep. PacMan was there for the money. He got paid to do exactly what he did.

Had this fight happened six years ago, perhaps the outcome would have been different. At the very least, it would have been more bearable to watch. A youthful Pacquiao might have turned the fight on its head with his devastating hand speed and forced Mayweather to adjust – or maybe even knock him down.

But this wasn’t six years ago, it was Saturday, and Pacquiao looked old, tired, and simply happy to be there. It wasn’t the fight of the century. It was a retirement plan.

I bet amir khan gets the shot... would be epic at the o2 arena... then fight broner at MSGARDEn for the 50th fight

No way in hell Floyd fights in England

Yeah Floyd hasn't fought outside Vegas in 10 years, hasn't fought outside the MGM Grand in 9 years.

He didnt even fight Ricky Hatton in the UK.

And really he won't need to fight abroad to sell a Khan fight. English fight fans go where their fighters go.

If they fight in Vegas it'll likely be a pro-Khan majority English crowd or at the very least, it would seem that way from the crowd noise.
