That's why I like collecting the Rawlings and Russell jerseys from the late 80s to late 90s. M&N got the cuts all wrong, and the real authentics are easy to find on ebay. Russell Diamond Collection from the 90s were the best quality and cut.

See that’s what I thought. I don’t own a authentic baseball jersey but I have the bp and it fits super short and wide. That’s the reason I never committed to buying a authentic because I don’t like the fit and figured the cut was the same.

I think that’s why I size down for baseball. It’s keeps the batting practice jerseys from getting too wide.

First two BP vs Authentic. All sz. 40s

Starks sz. 48 vs Authentic Gooden sz. 40 vs BP sz. 44. You can see where the 44’s get wider at the waist.

And just because we were talking about the jersey era, here’s the first jersey I ever bought at the M&N store back then. It’s a sz. 52 and is made of different materials than the current versions. It doesn’t even have Gooden on the back and that’s always bothered me.

Finally found the grail I’ve been looking for. It’s been a couple years, but I think my patience paid off.

Copped off of eBay for 189 shipped, plus used ebates which has 6% promo right now for eBay.

Brand new 1990’s Michael Jordan away jersey. Can’t mess with any of the M&N versions because the spelling of ‘JOR DAN’ kills me every time :smh. But this gem is something else. Seller says he’s had it stored for the last 24 years or so without wearing or every putting it on.

I’m hyped!

Just got these in this week. I must say that I am disappointed with how M&N botched the back numbers on all the Rice jerseys. They are way too close together. How do you mess that up? The Bo Jackson is spot on with materials/fonts, but the sleeves are so big that Gandalf would consider wearing it. I must say that the Owens is a gem. While the number size differs slightly from my Gore, the fonts, spacing, cut, colors, and craftsmanship are spot on.

One thing I'm learning (and getting a bit frustrated by) is how the production runs differ in quality with the same jerseys. It's annoying how much variation there is when reproducing the same jersey. If you're not buying directly from ebay, you gotta watch for a lot of things to make sure the jersey is legit.

With all of the sizing talk lately. I’m 6ft 230lb I wear a 56. I had a few 52 but they felt too tight in my chest and stomach. The 56 fits comfortably but could probably get it tailored a bit
