Anyone here watch the ultimate fighter?

IMO, best reality show EVER. simply put, while they can edit, re-shoot, etc. all that stuff...the fights are un-cut, real, and unstaged, with no stupidslow-motion techniques like the contender

either way, Mac Danzig...a beast.

I still don't get why they let Mac onto this show. It's like letting a wild pitbull into a house full of frail puppies.

seriously. i think someone here mentioned it before but how do you go from fighting Mach to fighting up and comers with little experience on a realityshow. Kinda like Bisping a couple seasons ago. Granted Bisping didnt have as much pub stateside until the show, but people who had seen him prior knew he wasa heavy favorite coming into the show.

did no one watch the show? average at best. Ed Hermans KO was nice.

My man J-Lau makin Reindhart look like an amateur too. War Lauzon!

yeah the card looked great but overall it ended up being pretty weak

wasnt Victor The Phenom Belfort there? I wanna hear what he had to say about it

and yes Joe Lauzon is the truth and will be a problem

Damn, I forgot about this! I wanted to see the Alexander/Silva matchup. Can anyone tell me what went down?

Houston was timid the whole fight. Fight went to the ground, Silva mounted and TKO'd Houston. BTW...
Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson Set for March
Light heavyweight Dan Henderson will move down to 185 pounds to challenge UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (20-4 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in March.

The announcement was made during the post-event press conference for UFC 78, which took place Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The championship bout will likely take place at UFC 82. As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported, UFC 82 will take place March 1 atNationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Silva, one of the world's top strikers and pound-for-pound fighters, has cruised through the UFC's middleweight division, posting TKO victories overChris Leben, Travis Lutter, Nate Marquardt and Rich Franklin (twice). His latest victory came at October's UFC 77 event in Cincinnati, where he wore downlocal favorite Franklin with a series of brutal knee strikes - much like he did a year prior at UFC 64 to win the title.

Henderson, who most recently lost a unanimous decision to UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson in September, was acquired when the UFC'sowners purchased the Japan-based PRIDE Fighting Championships earlier this year. The title fight marked Henderson's first bout in the UFC in nineyears.

Although the former PRIDE champion recently stated he was unhappy with the UFC's initial offer for a contract extension (he only has one fight remainingon his current deal), he said he was optimistic a new deal would be reached. The fact that the UFC has unofficially announced his next fight likely means adeal is close to being finalized.

wow that's great, Anderson vs. Hollywood? I like it. If there is anyone who will seriously test Henderson's chin, it's Silva.

Is the Bisping/Hammill rematch going to be on this card as well?

Can anyone tell me what went down?
Exposed.

You make a point, but that fight is a much higher profile fight. I'm just not sure if Silva will leave Hamil on the self for that long when Hamil wasready for a Dec. 29th fight to fight a fighter coming off a lackluster performance and loss (Bisping).

This is true, To me it's hurting the UFC. GSP is one of the most exciting fighters to watch. Making him wait till the end of this Ultimate Fighterseason didn't make sense to me

yeah i mean other than the GSP fan aspect of it, its just stupid as hell to have your most hotly contested title put on hold for 8 months just for a gdamreality show.

and yea #000 that is true, Hammil is coming off a "loss", but there is no better place for a rematch than on his home turf I guess.

ufc 78 was pretty good

the bisping evans fight kinda faded out towards the end

the lytle alves fight was pretty exciting... damn doctor just a nice fight. chris lytle wasnt even bleeding that bad, but those leg kicks hurt him pretty bad

i wanted ryo chonan to win though... hoping for a last second miraculous flying leg scissor or something

thats pretty much what happened, it went down.

houston had a takedown got it reversed and silva pretty much ground and pounded him out.

Houston got his#%%@ handed to him. It ended up being a better PPV than I thought though. Next month is gonna be dope!

I met A. Silva this past Friday at a Rage in the Cage event and have nothing but praise and respect for the guy! Humble as all hell and very, very fanfriendly. Dude was signing autographs and taking pictures 5 mins. after his fighters match was over. He was outside the casino for a good 20-30 mins, then wentinside for another hour to sit at a table and sign some more. Big ups to his translator/manager as well for allowing Silva to interact with the fans the way hedid. Amazing night for me.

Yup, Silva is pretty much a class act in and out of the ring. Met the guy twice and I'm always greeted with a smile. Also, the match up we've beenwaiting for, Fedor sure made a great choice for the fans...
Report: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Hong Man Choi on New Year's Eve
Fedor Emelianenko (26-1) will, in fact, fight in Japan on New Year's Eve. His opponent? Seven-foot-two, 352-pound Hong Man Choi (1-0).

Greg Savage made the announcement on today's Savage Radio Show.

Emelianenko signed with a restructured M-1 Global organization last month, but it was a non-exclusive deal. As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported, the fighter recently penned an open letter to fans in Japan saying he wanted to fight for them on New Year's Eve, which had become an annual tradition for Emelianenko.

M-1 Global CEO Monte Cox said the organization couldn't work out a deal, but late last week, the Russian M-1 website (which is different from the official M-1 Global website) briefly posted a message saying Emelianenko was booked for a New Year's Eve event at the Saitama Super Arena, a 22,000-capacity multi-purpose venue in Saitama City, Saitama, Japan.

According to Savage, Emelianenko will fight for an event organized by Hustle Pro Wrestling, which involves former employees of the now-defunct PRIDE Fighting Championships organization.

Emelianenko, the former longtime PRIDE heavyweight champion, was once considered the sport's undisputed top pound-for-pound fighter. That legacy has tarnished lately, though, as the Russian heavyweight has faced just three opponents over the past two years: a 41-year-old Mark Coleman, five-win veteran Mark Hunt, and middleweight Matt Lindland.

Emelianenko submitted all three opponents, but the victories have done little to help his once-spotless reputation. This latest reported fight probably won't help either.

Choi, a 27-year-old South Korean, suffers from a rare disease that causes him to continue growing throughout his life.

Although he has just one MMA fight to his credit, Choi is an accomplished K-1 boxer (who owns a career 12-3 record) and wrestler.

Choi made his MMA debut last New Year's Eve in a K-1 event and defeated two-fight veteran Bobby Ologun - a 215-pounder - with a TKO via punches just 16 seconds into the fight.

He was then scheduled to fight recent UFC signee Brock Lesnar in the former WWE performer's MMA debut. The K-1 Dynamite!! USA show took place in June, but the California State Athletic Commission wouldn't clear Choi to fight reportedly due to a benign tumor on his pituitary gland. (Min Soo Kim fought in his place and tapped out due to strikes in just 69 seconds.)

I can't wait for that Silva v. Hendo fight. Also looking foward to Serra v. Hughs. I hope Serra drops or submits Hughs. I agree can't wait to see GSPhe looked pretty impressive against Kos. Who do think Rampage is going to fight next? T. Silva? Rashad? Jardine? Forest?
