im in nc , i atched barnes alot, offensively he is good to go imo, his defense on the other hand ....... i do like his chances for a long fruitful career

Can't see him having a better season than Beal, T-Rob, or Davis. Not to mention my top-3 that I believe will contend for the ROY award.

 

@ anyone who thinks AD isn't winning ROY.
Let's be serious guys, Barnes? Waiters? Drummond has a better chance.
Come on, nobody in this class is touching Davis, dude will be a fantasy owners dream in 2 years.

 

How is Barnes not seriously in the conversation because of his offense and scoring alone?

I actually like Barnes watched him a lot at UNC but he's his own worse enemy honestly.
He does have the offensive skills and scoring ability to be in that conversation but I just don't see a competitive drive in him.
He gets complacent on offense too much, routinely takes bad shots and that was against competition athletically inferior to him.
He either goes further in that direction or turns a corner and becomes the player everybody thought he would be coming out of HS.
I expect the former.

Man if B Roy can be atleast 75% of what he used to be, K Love continues to improve and Rubio returns gracefully yall could compete for an 8th seed IMO

I think Kahn gets rid of him... He seems hell bent on getting rid of him... And part of the problem, is his trade value continues to fall, making the need to pull the trigger that much more dire.

Word. DWill's problem is that he's a PF - a new age perimeter PF but a PF nonetheless. Kevin Love plays PF for 40 minutes a game. Pekovic is a monster at C for 30-35 minutes a game. There just isn't that much time for him. AND AK47 should play backup PF minutes too. I definitely see him getting traded ASAP.

He has potential though, it's just a waste at SF where he isn't quicker than his defenders.

 

Lillard gonna be ROY. Only PG on the team, way too much talent, instant starter, and a star big man for PnR (Aldridge). Perfect situation for him.

 

I don't really like him much or his game, but my money is on Barnes too. Dude is going to get you 17-19ppg right out the gate.
