Playing the demo when I get off work. The gameplay and player movement in the WNBA version looks better than the men’s :lol

Impressed for real.

Peep the move at 4:25 to 4:35

And possessions at 2:40....as well as the defense and possession at 2:00. Very nice

Demo is fun!!! The improvement in the overall fluidity of the game is amazing. Live is a improved Franchise mode away from being my only b-ball game I purchase

Wow.......NBA Live has finally cleaned up the "arcade-stiffness" in their animations AND it is more on that realistic-side that 2K displays. After literally 8-9+ years, NBA Live FINALLY is beginning to look like simulation basketball. The animations is literally millions times better than last year's and the previous NBA Lives combined.

Only thing they need to fix up now is the "realistic 3D models" of the players, and they'll be "on-par" with 2K graphics-wise.

Glad, whoever, was smart enoigh to do a cpu vs cpu game and not a dumn human being put into the mix.

Looks solid

Will play the demo today. Hoping it's good because the last couple 2k's have been awful

As a 2K fan, is the One mode at least worth playing as far as Live 18?

Playing against the CPU W’s was crazy. Steph will literally kill you if you press up too tight or sag off. Klay is deadly in most catch and shoot situations. Durant...... you just have to hope he misses

One of the only gripes I had was the end game “urgency” from the cpu. If they are down by 10, they won’t attack offensively or play pressure defense to try and force a TO. I played about 4 hrs last night and noticed this few times.

The post game is still barebones especially when compared to all the dribble moves present.

The dribble combos are crazy. It’s rhythm based and you can’t spam the right stick. You have small “windows” where you can counter the defense. It doesn’t feel like a canned sequence though.

If the franchise mode was more fleshed out and if there were more community sharing features like jerseys creation, expansion teams, etc.... this would be my only nba game.

If you liked 18, you will love 19. If you are new to live, go to the practice mode and get familiarized with the movement etc.

This is NOT 2k and if you don’t play it like 2k you will be able to enjoy it. :nthat:

Can you go into more detail?

No disrespect

The animations trigger differently and overall player movement is drastically different.
Your stick movements will not yield the same results as they do in 2k. It’s hard to explain. You still can chain together animations but you also have to pay attention to the defender because they are countering you with every move.

Example if you are trying to go right, the defender guesses correctly and cuts you off, you have to counter in order to perform a crossover. You can’t just crossover on the right stick and expect to complete move if the defender cuts you off. The defensive positioning matters

Just download the demo and go to practice mode 1v1 mode

Ignore the quality, but I just uploaded this. Set playback speed to .75 and watch how the cpu counters me and how I still was able to get separation.

Probably minor but the weight distribution looks weird. Like the feet are floating, almost gliding on the court and the upper body is the weighted marker.
