Bill Maher's show is tolerable because he brings on people he disagrees with, even on the Muslim thing. One things I can respect about him is that he is up for the debate/argument, even when they get heated. I do think he treats some of the vilest people he brings on with kid gloves and is overly critical of liberals he brings on, and he will shut down an argument if it is not going his way.

The TYT, Dore and that gang don't what to debate. Their shows are just a circle jerk, most of their reporters are even more of a joke, and they will use a tiny point to fly off the handle at anything. And when there is a debate, these people struggle.

Bill Maher does a decent job. His anti-Muslim stuff is too much, although I feel like he hasn't said too much about it in the past year. if anything, he's more moderate on immigration now because he realizes how absurd most on the right are with their anti-Muslim views.

In general I appreciate that he has different viewpoints on his show and he will go after liberals at times too (sometimes unfairly, but at least it opens a discussion). He's 100x more informative and thought-provoking than a panel discussion on the news network (CNN gets close sometimes when they limit their panel to well-respected commentators).
