***Official Political Discussion Thread***

All of them gotta go ... Including the denouncing of Bill Clinton and his wife ...

If you used taxpayer money to settle lawsuits related to sexual assault, you should be thrown in jail for life ... I'm dead serious and don' care who it is ...

It's one thing to be a private creep, it's another to use my money to pay off your victims ... That **** is disgusting ...
He probably used his salary that he earned. So please get off your high horse.

But again Blco, why won't you tell everyone why you previously got banned?

Why are you so scared to share?

I had a meeting at my bank today to discuss my investment portfolio and investment strategies. Investing in the US across the board has been booming for the bank. :smokin
My investment profile under EU regulations is set to defensive-minded with a risk factor of 4 so its focus is on decent profit with a strong safety net to prevent losses. But for the more wealthy and high risk clients, one of their foreign investment strategies is a bunch of algorithms and other methods focused on Trump's volatile behavior and in particular his tweets  The man has been exceptional in boosting or hurting certain stocks or markets simply by tweeting.

Complains and dismisses the Atlantic ( which is has some of the best political writing, both right and left), yet post something from a farrrrr right rag like Townhall.

You have become almost a parody of yourself Blco
Or posted an article which, at its core, comments on a MSNBC viewpoint ... But I don't expect you to see past your baseless, biased opinion so I'll allow the blatant ignorance to proceed as scheduled ...

Also, I have no idea who blco is ...

All this ignored content got me feeling remarkably unstressed on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon :pimp:
Yet another example of why Trump won ... I don't know if you are left or right, but muting dissenting viewpoints is never the answer ... Please engage if you feel you have a point to make that would be helpful to the discussion ...

You have been on NT for 15 years and you don't know a dude that strangely joined the same year as you, is also a hardcore conservative, and makes the same exact arguments you make.

Yeah sure buddy.

Anyway. No need to stress over another offensive troll.

I'm gonna just block your buffoonery and be done with it.

The problem with conservatives is that they have decided to live by their own realities, regardless of whether they abide to facts. When different perspectives are to be acknowledged, they never go through the effort of considering alternate points of view.

To a crazy person, it is the rest of the world that is mad, not themselves.

I InTheHallway you talk about using racial animus as a campaigning tactic without acknowledging why it worked. You will be the first one accusing the left, Democrats, and minorities of being too politically correct and of being about identity politics, even though you just dismissed that Atlantic article that explains WHY Trump's nonsense resonated with Whites across the economic spectrum.

"They could relate"

In light of the last 9 years, you can't deny that. They could relate to Trump's demagoguery.

This Atlantic Article is TOO FIRE man. This part, I ain’t know about...and found really interesting.

Author of ‘Why Competitive Elections Are Bad for America’ is Trump's top pick for Census job: report
President Trump's likely pick for the top operational job at the U.S. Census Bureau is the author of a book titled "Redistricting and Representation: Why Competitive Elections are Bad for America," according to Politico.

Thomas Brunell, a political science professor, is the candidate the Trump administration is leaning toward picking for the job, Politico reported Tuesday.

He has in the past testified regarding moves by Republicans to redraw congressional districts. In his 2008 book, he writes that districts in which voters are like-minded result in better representation.

“If true, it signals an effort by the administration to politicize the Census,” Terri Ann Lowenthal, former co-director of the Census Project, told Politico.
“It’s very troubling.”

The position of deputy director of the U.S. Census Bureau does not require Senate confirmation.

Brunell was previously being weighed for the job of Census director, which requires confirmation, but he was not ultimately nominated for the position.

A former high-ranking Commerce Department official told Politico that putting Brunell in this position is "worse than making him director."

“There still is going to be hell to pay on the optics," the official said. "The Democrats and civil rights community will go nuts."

The census tries to count every person in the U.S. and is meant to be used for deciding how many electoral votes and seats in the House of Representatives given to each state. Some have raised concerns about potential questions that could be added about whether respondents are U.S. citizens and what effect that would have on responses.

While Blco is blocked, I must admit he was right about one thing. I didn't know Conyers took the pay off money out his budget. So anyone has the right to be outraged over that. It is a outrageous misuse of funds.

Blco's ranting about other stuff including race is still arrant nonsense

I knew Trump was a racist, xenophobic scumbag LOOOOONGGGGG before anyone could even think he ever be a President....long before he was a topic of conversation at everyone's dinner table, nearly everyday...I don't need to rely on left or right written articles or on liberal or conservative media....as I said a million times, you voted for him, cool...you probably didn't know what Trump was really about....pure vile and LIES....a year later you still rocking with him, you subscribe not to what he represents as a politician, because it isn't much...but what he represents as the man he is.

Are you aware the Trump family has been using RNC money to pay their legal fees related to the ongoing investigation?

133 THOUSAND dollars in one month for Don Jr. It's not related to sexual assault, but...come on dude.

While I can argue paying off sexual assault victims is a bit different, I just want to clarify what you wrote ...

Did you mean to say FEDERAL taxpayer money or RNC? If the latter, I never contributed to the Trump campaign so I really have no say but that nuance is a bit different given one is mostly voluntary while the other is mandated taxation ...

Nevertheless, I don't feel that it is a misuse of funds if Trump and team use federal money for legal defense ... There is a long history of precedent in this regard for presidents ...

I think it is laughable that we spend tax money on things like deflategate ... Now THAT is preposterous ...

Why are y'all even engaging a dude who wants a pat on the back because he doesn't refuse to hire people of color?

Steezy hit the nail on the head pleading ignorance as to why you voted for Trump is what it is (********) but at this point if you're still riding with dude you're either a racist or a damn fool.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet but today has been a wonderful day for Zimbabweans

Probably been the best day there since the revolution happened :pimp:

Just hope the military actually steps back again now and hands back civilian control of the government after acting on the will of the people

Seen it happen all too often where they decide to hold on to power and restart the dictatorial cycle once again(see Egypt for a recent example)
