Now I feel like everything is, eventually, going to be okay.

We'll do mutual aid and electoralism in the short run and worker mobilization and direct action for long run success. It's going to be socialism or barbarism in this decade and we'll dodge the looming ecofascism and have socialism, in time.

For now, got to celebrate the life of Sanders 2020 rather than mourn the death of it.

I'm all for economic populism but you have to follow through and this student loan forgiveness will end up just like Trump's promise for universal healthcare, universal child care, closing the carried interest loophole and infrastructure spending.

Agreed. If he is going to do it, that’s great. Tying it to a date that coincidentally comes pretty close to the Election Day is as close to a carrot and a stick as it comes.

Just to be clear, federal student loan payments were already suspended 6 months as part of the CARES act. Him reiterating it a day after Bernie drops out is political pandering at its finest. “Vote for me and maybe we cancel your loans, maybe we don’t.” It’s the exact same thing as when he was talking about a second round of tax cuts for the middle class. He was supposed to release this plan in April as the carrot to vote for him again and *checks notes* no plan is currently out there even though this is this time to do it.
