First off they don't even sport the Yankee colors, next, there is a Swingman logo on the back which is Griffey's logo. On top of that the colors feature are of the Mariners, which is the most notable team he has played for.

Now do you understand?

Surprised those arent as big as the Big Bangs. I like them more. Not to try to add any hype to them, but they sort of remind of a South Beach type colorway for the 9, but with a Mariners blue/green. The pinkish highlights add to that comparison too. On another note, so mad I slept on this shoe. Aunt decided to take me shopping today and grabbed the UM/Hurricane 9s for me.

Underrated IMO. Oh and copped the Jordan Elite socks for kicks

I like the swingmans but I'd much rather get the dunkmans and slh's that day. If getting all three pairs becomes an option I might pick up the grifs but I want to many locks in feb and march. No need to buy every pair.

i've been waiting on those "swingmans", glad to see some shots finally show the "green abyss" color in the shoe. kinda reminds me of the red carpet 7s and i think they come with red laces as well. definitely will be my next pick up
